“My family and I had a fantastic lunch at Poke N Roll while visiting Calgary. The generous portions and affordable prices made it a great value for the cost. We really enjoyed the creative and delicious food options. We also appreciated the great customer service and the validated parking.
Food highlights:
Spicy Tuna Roll: I loved the extra crunch that was added to the spicy tuna roll, which made for a great texture and unique experience.
Deep Fried Shrimp Roll: My son and I both thought the Deep Fried Shrimp roll was incredibly delicious and unlike anything we had tried before.
Sushi + Roll Set A: My son enjoyed his set meal, which included a tasty mix of spicy salmon and shrimp tempura rolls.
Salmon + Tuna Poke Bowl: My husband was thrilled with his Salmon + Tuna Poke Bowl. He appreciated the generous portions and was able to include every topping he wanted without extra cost.
Atmosphere: It's a great spot for a casual, family-friendly meal, especially if you're looking for delicious and satisfying poke or sushi options. Customer service was also exceptional.
Overall takeaway: Poke N Roll is an easy recommendation for anyone visiting Calgary who wants fresh, flavorful, and generously portioned poke bowls and sushi rolls. We'll definitely be back the next time we're in the city.“

“Desanna helped me out today and was very friendly, she acknowledged my presence even though she was still finishing up a task.
My Peruvian Poke Bowl with marinaded salmon was delicious and was made promptly. The avocados were ripe and very soft. Thank you Desanna :)“

“Was craving onigiri so it was a good time to revisit Onigiri Japan. Previously I've always gotten their poke bowls which are also excellent.
I picked up three onigiri : tuna salad, cajun prawn, and bulgogi. They take about 15 minutes as they are made fresh!
Still as good as I remember them to be. Stuffed with filling enough to balance the amount of rice. I'm glad they aren't soo big that I could consume three in one sitting.
I saw they have beef brisket noodle soup now. Will have to try that next time!
Give them a try, they are hidden around the corner of the food court within the building Nexen previously occupied.“

“Delicious, fresh poke. Wish it was a bit more affordable as the price is the only thing stopping me from going every week!“

“Love Hula and I’m obsessed with their Poke bowls. Always fresh! I’m not giving 5 stars because sometimes they give me rice instead of kelp noodles (which I pay extra for). I think they just go too fast and don’t pay attention to those substitutions. It’s always sad when you walk all the way back to the office and you see it’s the wrong base. But bowls are always flavourful and tasty!“

“We recently tried Hula Poke at CrossIron Mills and were pleasantly surprised by the bold flavors and fresh ingredients. I went with the Ponzu with sweet potatoes and coconut rice as the base, topped with Tiki sauce — and it was a delicious combination. The flavors were vibrant and balanced, with the ponzu adding a nice citrusy zing to complement the creamy coconut rice.
One standout aspect was the excellent service. The server was attentive and went above and beyond by offering samples of different sauces to help us find the perfect match. That extra effort made the experience feel personalized and welcoming.
Others in our group tried the grilled salmon with kelp noodles and Tiki sauce — and those kelp noodles were a delightful surprise. Fresh, crunchy, and light, they added a unique texture that really stood out. The fish was fresh and well-prepared, and the overall presentation was clean and appetizing.
The crispy onions and mix of sesame seeds sprinkled on top of the bowls added the perfect crunch and burst of flavor, elevating the dish even more. If I had one small critique, it’s that the coconut rice could’ve been a bit more flavorful on its own, but with the toppings and sauces, it still worked well.
Service was quick, friendly, and very accommodating. We loved trying something new, and the quality of ingredients and thoughtful preparation really showed. Will definitely be back to explore more of the menu!“

“Used to buy these poke bowls all the time, and if you learn how to customize to exactly what you like they are worth the money and soooo delicious. I’ve moved further from this location but will still make the trek back for a bowl when I can!!!“

“This place is very good if you're trying to eat healthy and quickly... Sometimesif you over eat at this place it can lose a bit of its magic and feel like the food is a bit slimy but other than that it's very good, I wouldn't risk delivery though, it can also get very expensive depending on what you want in your bowl“

“We ordered our meal via Uber Eats and we were notified that two of 5 items are not available after we ordered (one notification per item). Our wait time was over 90 minutes and the meal was anti-climatic. Sushi rice was sour like someone spilled the vinegar on the rice, the rolls looks like they were rolled by a toddler, and the Oshi was basically rice with “maybe” some toppings. No soy sauce for the sushi, no spoon for the soup. Definitely not a recommended experience.“
