Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen in Calgary

“With a chain like this you generally know what to expect so any review is really just about whether they deliver the expected experience more than a critique of the food itself.

If you're new to Popeyes, the bone in chicken is best, followed by the sandwiches, then the tenders or nuggets. The sauces rule, especially the BBQ and blackened ranch. The biscuits and most sides are lackluster but the fries are very good.

This location has been consistently solid, staff are easy to deal with. Thumbs up 👍“

“2025 Nov month end.. I ordered 10 pieces after going back and forth to get the best order. The take away, I should get 5 dark and 5 white as I paid for an upgrade to 1 piece to rib. ... Only to get home and 2 white meat. I called the store, left messages and no response..no retuned calls..
As you can see not the first time there is a missed opportunity. I won't necessarily go back to this store, it will be my last resort based on not much options in the area, unless you drive to beacon Hill or Airdrie

2024 June 8. Bought chicken as usual and asked for mix meat and got home and all dark meat. .msecond time in recent months, this has happened. So, I will need to check the order to make sure before leaving

“Well maybe it's just me but , they got a mean chicken sandwich , like out of this world fantastic . I am not one for big chain restaurants , but like I said they got one mean chicken sandwich. Like for real . I can't really speak as to how the rest of their food is but if your looking doe one very tasty chicken sandwich . You need not go anywhere else.“

“I recently visited Popeyes in Forest Lawn and had a great experience overall. The food was fresh, hot, and full of flavor. The chicken was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, just the way it should be. The seasoning was spot on and tasted authentic.
I also tried the fries and biscuits — both were delicious. The fries were well-seasoned and crispy, and the biscuit was buttery and soft. The portion sizes were satisfying for the price.
The staff were friendly and my order came out quickly, even though it was a bit busy. The restaurant was clean and well-maintained.
Overall, I’d definitely come back when I’m craving flavorful fried chicken. Great job to the team at the Forest Lawn location!“

“Stopped in to Popeye’s Beacon Hill for Lunch. We ordered 2 classic chicken sandwiches and drinks.
These sandwiches are so good !! And we were not disappointed!!
To be honest, they are almost 2 big for us. We could have easily split a sandwich.
I also like the spicy chicken sandwich and order that one a fair bit but went with the classic sandwich this time.
The staff are always friendly and the restaurant is always clean and well maintained.
I would recommend this Popeyes for great chicken.
