Primal Grounds Cafe and Soup Company

Just paid 15.00 for your pea and ham soup. My wife & i thought it was overly starchy and had too many potatoes. wish we got the Lebanese lentil soup instead. Can it be returned and or exchanged?

Such a gem of a place. The space feels cozy and welcoming, and the staff are always friendly and genuine. Everything I've tried has been fresh and delicious, the soup and sandwich combo is a favorite, and their lattes are always spot on. (My freezer is also stocked with soups for those lazy days!)

The baked treats are also worth a mention (the carrot cake is the best). If I could have it every day, I would.

Anyhow, whether you're staying in or taking something home, it’s the kind of place you just feel good about coming back to.

Went here for lunch. I had the Toastrd cheese. And Latte. Good service. Good food and Coffees. Lots of options. They have a big selection of soups if you enjoy that. Different choices for vegan options.
Plenty of parking.

Had a nice lunch special (half a sandwich and soup for $12) and sat on the small patio outside. Lots of fresh selections, will try the sweet treats next time!

Great soup and baked goods. Clam chowder is very flavourful . The ginger cookies are to die for. Special mention for the Ottawa Valley tourtiere.

This cafe offers delicious soups, sandwiches and drinks. You can also buy frozen soup in bulk to take home and eat later, which I tried and was delicious too! They serve 3 of their soups a day and have a full menu of cafe sandwiches to choose from. All of their soups are gluten free. Some are also vegan or vegetarian. For a cafe that has only gluten-free soup, I was surprised they didn't have more GF sandwich and dessert options. They had a couple sandwiches and dessert items tucked in a fridge that they showed me once I asked. I had the GF Ukrainian Borscht and a GF grilled cheese and both were really yummy. I would definitely recommend!

Food was very good. Fast service. I took my mom who is a diabetic here for lunch and she was very upset to find out that her favourite drink cannot be made unsweetened. Such a shame she couldn't have a plain Matcha Latte.

Went go to get lunch. Noticed pink hair lady not wearing socks in a kitchen. Only sandals no socks in a KITCHEN. So disgusted. Also, employee did not seem happy to see me, she had an angry face 😡

Slowly become obsessed with this coffee shop, it’s my new weekly rotation.
Their service & welcoming atmosphere makes it so easy to want to start your morning here or come here for lunch. I personally am a creature of habit and get the same thing always. An iced latte, and a Russian Ruben sandwich, always amazing. However today my friend got an Italian panini and a daily soup, it also was very tasteful and fresh. Maybe I am biased but I really think you can not go wrong with trying anything here.
Will forever be recommending this place to everyone & coming back.
