Primal Soup Company

I like what this company is about and has vegan and gluten free soups. However, I've tried two soups at this company, the Tuscan tomato and Morrocan Lentil both were inedible for us after 5 spoonfuls. There is a large amount of pepper put in the soup to where it ruins it. If the pepper was alot less it would be 5 stars immediately. Salt is perfect, but pepper is far too hot to enjoy and taste any other vegetables. Pepper shouldn't be the main taste of any soup, just to gently enhance the flavours.

As a professional side note, it would be nice if the employees would know what was in the soup ingredients-wise rather than to be told to look on the back of a soup carton in the freezer, and figure it out for ourselves.

the soup was amazing but the service was even better!!! 10/10 would recommend, you'll find yourself pleasantly surprised by samples of soup you wouldn't have thought to try before.

I have loved every soup I’ve ever bought from here. Some of the soups are very unique. The samples are nice because I’ve tried and then bought soups that I never would have even considered.

My boyfriend's cousin used to work here a few years ago and he bought some the other day for nostalgia. We got the Thai Coconut Chicken and it was delicious. We bought a couple more the other day and need more! Safe to say we're addicted!! ??

Delicious soup and had a great size for my daughter. The bread is a perfect side, so delicious! Would be great to have a place to check online for what their daily soup is.

Just when I thought customer service was dead, I come across two of the nicest ladies at the primal soup booth at the farm local market on lake fraser dr. It was my first time at the market and was blown away with the options I highly recommend checking it out. That being said I had already eaten when I discovered primal soup booth. However the ladies engaged me in conversation and as I was leaving made sure I had a container of one of their frozen soups ( my choice) to take home free of charge. I WILL BE BACK!

Hearty, homemade soups that are flavourful & delicious. Located in the old Avenida Food Hall (now Fresh & Local Market & Kitchens) on Lake Fraser Drive (off of MacLeod). This is a great little spot to grab soup! Extremely friendly & helpful employees who offered samples of all three soups that were fresh. You can also buy pre-made varieties to warm at home. Had the turkey dinner soup today & it was full of a variety of vegetables—yum! Freshly baked & still warm cottage cheese dil scone was a good pairing. I’ve had their soups a few times before at Primal Grounds Cafe & have always enjoyed.

Primal Soup won best soup in Calgary just this year. I tried their Vegan Gluten Free African Peanut Soup and it was absolutely delicious! As someone who eats whole food plant based, I really enjoyed it and am grateful the soup is packed with so much flavour. The only box that it didn’t check for me was that the soup contains oil. Although it doesn’t state it on the list of ingredients, I could see a slight amount of oil in the soup. But apart from that, I highly recommend this place!

I had loaded potato soup. It was tasty perhaps a bit salty but that’s just preference. My issue is the the lady serving is more worried to be the COVID police governance than worrying about being a business owner. Will not return.

Always good soup & sandwich here
