I have a very heart felt review to write. This is my first one so bear with me. Three days ago a came across this restaurant on social media called “le petite chef”. Instantly I thought of how much my step daughter would love it. She is currently undergoing cancer treatment at Alberta children’s hospital and is being admitted on Wednesday for a bone marrow transplant given to her by her brother. After trying to book a reservation online before Wednesday I realized they were booked solid for months so I decided to send the manager an email to see if there might be a chance he could sneak us in considering the circumstances. They didn’t just fit us in, these guys opened the restaurant just for us on a day they are normally closed. With her being immune suppressed this was a blessing. We had a night of amazing service, even better food…and let me tell you this food is worth every penny. A night of core memories made with my family when we need it most. Thank you to Ian Jones, the general manager of the Dorian, who came to our table, introduced himself and helped make this night one to remember for our little girl before she faces another fight with this horrible disease. Thank you to Ian, the chef and the rest of the staff who all took time to be there tonight for us. You will never know how much I appreciated it. Ian and his staff did not have to do any of this and they went above and beyond with only three days notice. Balloons, stuffed animals….Wow. Your kindness is so appreciated ❤️ Brandy and Dustin

The Afternoon Tea was lovely! There was live music, the food was delicious and there was a variety of teas to choose from. Service was a *tiny* bit slow but there was only one staff member to tend to the multiple tables. She never stopped moving though!! I'm definitely going to bring friends by for this experience!

If you’re strolling through downtown Calgary and you’re looking for bite or maybe a cocktail. Stop by Prologue, located in the Dorian hotel. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. The space is very trendy and a great escape from the bustling streets outside. The menu has something for everyone. I ordered, then devoured a smash burger with some clipped greens aka a house salad. It hit the spot! I’ll be back to sample more of their menu soon.

The pianist was very talented and played many favorites of my aunt. The noise is a bit high for conversation if seated near a boisterous party. The food was good but some elements were too dry (cucumber sandwiches, raspberry financier), too heavy (black sesame waffles were thick, perhaps blini would be better?). Server Raquel went out of her way to make the occasion (a birthday) memorable, offering to take photos, bringing a birthday dessert plate. Overall, a nice afternoon tea, with a good amount of food. I remain a little shocked at the price.

We went in but no one greeted us. We sat ourselves in the right corner cross the bar. The 2 girls working didn't not come over even after seeing us sit down. We watched One of the girls working leave and maybe her shifted ended. We still waited about 20 mins hoping the other girl working could serve us but nope. We then decided to leave from the exit door. On the way out I asked the girl if we the manager was in but was told he/she is probably upstairs and I could leave my contact info. I told the girl I had reservations but she didn't bother to ask if we would like to order anything.

The service was sub par we were not addressed until 10-15 minutes after arrival. After we ordered the server did not come back to the table to check on us, if she had we would have ordered a cocktail, or even asked for a refill on the hot water for the tea pots. The taste of the food was good/average. The bread for the sandwiches was dry as if sitting out exposed to air for a long period of time. This did not give the food a ‘fresh' appeal. The gentleman playing the piano was a nice touch, and set a nice ambiance for a Saturday afternoon.For 65$/person I would recommend an alternate destination for a high tea experience.

We went to Prologue Cafe for high tea. There were a few booking mishaps on our end due to weather and they accommodated us in spite of our changing numbers. The service was smooth, polite, but inobtrusive. The tea delights were inventive, beautifully presented and very tasty. The only draw back was that we were in a corner and perhaps due to the acoustics of this position, the piano playing, which was excellent, made it difficult to hear the people across the table. And the bathrooms had no toilet paper. The High Tea itself, the ambience, the service, and the over all experience, I would recommend to everyone.

Overall our experience was great! The food was delicious and the gentlemen playing the piano was a great touch. I was only disappointed that you were only allowed 1 tea per person and the service was just okay. I would still go back.

We had High Tea here, and it was lovely! The food was delicious. I especially loved the egg salad, chicken salad and salmon on a black sesame waffle! Raquel was a great hostess and waiter, keeping our tea pots filled. The live piano was a great accompaniment to an amazing meal.

I was on a late night stroll and happened to walk by this place, I just had to give it a try. The ambience and atmosphere is very sophisticated. The pianist is outstanding! named William, extremely friendly and welcoming which is a bonus. Server was fast & helpful. This place would be perfect for brunch or a small bday celebration. I'll definitely be back!

We ordered two cocktails for $38 and the amount they asked us to pay was $42 because I think they thought we were drunk;;;
