The best ramen I've had in Calgary! It's the third time I'm here and every choice I had was amazing!

Had the original tonkatsu ramen, the chashu was great but I found the soup to be average in that it was on the lighter and more one dimensional side. The plus is that it didn't taste as salty as some other ramen places. The noodles had a subtile chalky and pastey texture after chewing that was not to my liking (imagine the center of half-cooked pasta but softer). Service was good and friendly.

Ordered the tongkotsu black and it was pretty good. You can choose your preferred chashu (belly or lean), noodle thickness, and greens. I like the fact that you have these choices. Their special also came with an appetizer option, and I ended up choosing the karaage bowl.

Everything was tasty. Their broth is also supposedly MSG-free, by the way. Their chashu was tender and cooked perfectly. The noodles were less chewy than I like, and the broth was not as rich as some I've had.

I have a very high bar set for ramen, as I've enjoyed it all over the world, but Ramen Ichinen is still worth a visit.

Being able to avail of their lunch special of Chicken Karagi plus their Original Tonkotsu Ramen, I had a blast. The ramen was tasty, and the saltiness was just right as well.
Their place is cozy inside, and the location was just right because it is located in the far corner of the strip mall so the ambience was kind of quiet and private (which I usually prefer, as opposed to crowded and noisy.

Service was awesome!! Very friendly and welcoming environment. I got their original tonkatsu & black ramen, it's actually good compared to what i've tried in Calgary so far. Flavour of the broth is there but could be improved to be more richer. Meat was absolutely delicious which made the ramen taste better. Will definitely come back to try other flavours!

Small portions even when I ordered extra Cha siu, textureless noodles, tasteless broth. High ratings on google review were misleading; I assume the reviewers never had good ramen before.

My favourite Ramen spot in town - always so friendly and the food is so authentic. Highly recommend the drive here if you don't live in the area.

Best ramen I've had! The service is quick and they're super friendly, I'd highly recommend checking this place out if you haven't already! A true gem! Try the red ramen and the chicken karrage... so good!

I’ve known about this place for quite awhile and it’s been a hot minute since I’ve been. I happened to be up in the neighborhood around lunchtime so I dropped in. It was busy! Always a good sign when a small place tucked away is busy. Very friendly staff, and the place has a very simple, uncomplicated vibe to it. I ordered the Tonkotsu black ramen with lean pork, green onions and thick noodles. It comes in a big bowl and the broth was not too salty with a bit of a creamy surface feel to it. The pork was super tender and the noodles have a bounce to them that I find a lot of other ramen shops in the city lack. Very tasty.

Best Raman in Calgary. Better than Danbo in Vancouver!

Too bad that I got a phone call right after the ramen was served, so the photo wasn’t the best. But even so, the Raman is of very high quality.

I would say it is better than some of the famous ones like Danbo. Forget about Arashi. Will definitely revisit again!
