Called a day ahead, because we had a larger party of 11 people - the gentleman who took the call confirmed all my details. Arrived, and was told that there was no reservation, they offered no real solutions other than putting our name on the waitlist - which would have been 1.5 hours. Had to then go and find a location that would accept 11 people on a Saturday…which is almost impossible. Finally found a place, but had to have everyone drive to the new place.

A great way to ruin a Saturday for 11 people, I would avoid this place at all costs - since it seems like they dont really care about their customers. If they had tried to make it work, then it would have been fine, but their lack of empathy, and a “nothing we can do” attitude wasn’t disheartening.

It’s a shame, because we’ve been here a few times before, and it was generally pretty good.

Love this place, probably go here 3x a week when I'm in Calgary. The servers are fantastic, the food is always good and the atmosphere is top notch.

I have been to the Reds in Ramsay many times and overall the experience has been good however we went this morning and it was unfortunately a waste of time. We arrived at 10:42, ordered two drinks and our food approximately 8 minutes after being there. We received our drinks but hadn’t gotten our food after being seated at our table for 55 minutes. It was just two of us, we ordered two sandwiches so nothing that takes extravagant preparation. Eventually we had to leave as we had somewhere else to be, never having received our breakfast.

I know places like this are swamped during breakfast but there was a significant lack of attention to our table. Again, I have been to Reds plenty of times and have never experienced this. Today is sucked!

We were honestly very disappointed today.

A tourist visiting Calgary for the first time and we saw the perfect moment to capture and Record a chance to show off your spot in the best light and spread the word through social media. But we were quickly told not to record, and that killed the vibe immediately.

This was a missed opportunity not just for us — but for your restaurant.

Word-of-mouth today is social media. One short video from a tourist’s perspective could’ve reached hundreds or even thousands of potential visitors. Instead, the excitement was shut down, and the memory ended on a negative note.

Can we ask: why isn’t filming allowed? Especially when the intention is to record ourselves and indirectly business gets promoted for free, without any disruption.

Best diner in the city, chilled out place, great food, awesome coffee and a Huevos Rancheros that dreams are made of.

Brunch on a rainy day 🌧️☔️ The outdoor seating / patio is beautiful🌹 if you're like me and LOVE sun lights and bright places! This branch outdoor/patio is CUTE! I always get Red big breakfast and tried beetroot's Salad too was amazingggg loved it! They separate contaminations specifically gluten:) which is good for people with celiac :)

Good food, really ncie atmosphere and heated outdoor seating. Had a hiccup where they didn't abide by the waitlist, was there just before the time on the app and they told us to come back, came back when it texted us and they'd given our table away. Kind of a confusing experience.

I just want to applaud and appreciate not just the amazing food and hospitality but the service of the staff in this location.
Let’s talk about food, it’s tasty and scrumptious and well done, staff were checking in to make sure everything was up to our liking, nice cappuccinos.
What I really want to highlight was how staff went above and beyond in finding a scarf, which was expensive but had sentimental value, that my brother in law left in this space. They were on it, diligently and was able to find it for us and it meant a great deal to my whole family!
So, bravo!!!!

I'm from out of town, but I'm in Calgary 2-3 times a week, and a friend of mine suggested I give Red's Diner a try....so I did today.

Breakfast is a hard thing to screw up (because every place does bacon and eggs), and I was NOT disappointed here. It's the little things that make it good.
1. The coffee was VERY good and flavourful
2. The orange wedges were a nice touch
3. My breakfast was cooked the way I ordered it so no complaints here.

It was a little pricey, but I sure didn't leave there hungry so I don't mind paying for a full tummy, and the service was top notch!!!

Overall, it will be my 2nd favorite breakfast place (but not by very much) and I will definitely be back...especially for that yummy coffee. ??²

I cannot say enough good things about Red's Diner in Ramsay. From the decor to the service and of course, the food, it's our favorite location. Pavlo is our server almost every time and he's just amazing. There hasn't been any bad dishes we've tried in the 5+ years we've been going there so no matter your tastes, it's sure to be a delight!
