Wow, we came expecting it to be pretty good, but it still exceeded expectations. Eggs Benedict was cooked perfect each time. The sliders were flavourful. The French toast was soft yet crunchy. We loved everything and will be back.
Ps…reserving for buffet recommended.

Decent food, great price for the breakfast buffet. Very small hole in the wall, I was seated at the window which was good but it was clear they haven't dusted in a very very long time

Loved the food and atmosphere! The rice bowl is comparable to what I had in Tokyo. Really happy to find an authentic Japanese restaurant in Calgary!

I enjoyed the ramen noodle salad and Katsu Sandwhich. Nice flavours and not too salty

The Atmosphere I went the first time smelled really bad, there was so many people and it was so stuffy that the air mixed with the people breathing all day, and the food aroma mixed in. Making it smell really raunchy. The place was not pleasant. The owners I'm sure are focused on food, but neglect comfortable seating; bare minimum and the restaurant is physically too small. making it very cramped. so being a small volume of space the air quality is well, you can smell is bad.
I will not come back here again.

Really excellent food at really reasonable cost. I tried the weekend buffet, and besides the 'burgers' which were a bit dry and rice-heavy, everything was really enjoyable. Service was fast and friendly even though the small venue was completely full. The non-buffet items looked a bit more complex and definitely worth checking out as well. I'm looking forward to going back.

Tried the Japanese curry rice, curry ramen, taiyaki ice cream, and donut — all so good! 🍛 The curry dishes were rich and flavorful, the taiyaki ice cream was super cute and tasty, and the donut was soft and not too sweet.
Service was fast, and food was a really good portion! Would have liked a carafe to refill my own water, but I'd definitely come here again!

Best Japanese restaurant in Calgary. Our entire family loves coming here, including our 8 year old son (best Katsu Curry ever!)

Excellent authentic Japanese food. Bonus stars for proper Japanese ambiance. Prices are cheap compared to other restaurants in the area.

Got a Japanese plum onigiri and there was no flavor to it except for one piece of plum as pictured.

I found a disgusting red hair in my food today, they took my plate didn't give me a new one until later, and was hoping for some sort of accommodation because of this. I expected a lot more from a place like this

Staff are very sweet and attentive.
Ordered the karaage curry ramen, the soup was thick and concentrated which paired well with the slightly thicker ramen noodles. Helped to soak up the flavor better. Ramen noodles had a bit of a chew not quite el-dente but more like springy, which are just to my liking.
Finished off with an iced Americano (personal pref), great way to cleanse the palate for w.e food i plan to have next. Will definitely some again to try their Sapporo salad ramen (?)
