I have always loved Red’s Diner but Kensington location is now my fave. The ambiance is just giving. I had my all time fave, Bacon & Brie Benny which never disappoints. ? The dish features perfectly poached eggs, but the real star is the crispy bacon that adds a wonderful crunch and rich flavor to the dish. The creamy brie melts in the mouth and I love the incorporation of sweet balsamic, creating a delightful combination that elevates the classic eggs benedict to new heights. The portion size was generous, and it was beautifully plated, making it almost too good to eat – but trust me, you won't want to miss a single bite.

Usually Red’s is good, but I wont be coming back after today. A hair that was not mine or my partners was in my food, discovered a few bites into the meal. It was short and brunette while I’m blonde with colouring. Most of the meal was still there, my toast and fruit were untouched. Waitress tried to just “discount” a meal I only had a few bites of and offered to give me more toast. Poor handling of a food safety issue, honestly disappointing.

went today and got the beef dip which was delish. i don’t like when the beef is super chewy, but this was actually GREAT. not chewy at all and still tasted great. service was good and loved the atmosphere. will definitely be back :)

Just a heads-up—if you’re planning to go on a Sunday after 10:30 a.m., be prepared for a bit of a wait as it gets quite busy, so arriving earlier is wise. Sundays are bustling with energy, and while it does get a bit noisy, it’s all part of the lively weekend brunch vibe.
Their menu is packed with tasty, hearty options. The dishes are flavorful and balanced, but if you’re a protein lover, you might find that carbs—especially the generous portion of hash browns—take center stage. That said, the meals are filling and satisfying, though there’s room for a bit more protein to truly elevate the experience. Overall, Red's Diner delivers a good meal and great atmosphere, but with a few tweaks, it could be exceptional.
We order the beef dip toast and classic cheese toast with mushroom soup. The soup is awesome and very delicious. Server is very punctual and attentive. She double checks if we are okay with everything and asks if we need to add coffee a few more times. The service is sooo good!
