Fantastic food, service was slow, our server in particular didn’t keep up on drinks or checking in. Live bands are very loud, not ideal for smaller kids in the dinner hours.

Truly disappointed in our first and probably last visit. Phoned and was told that most people dressed up, that was not the case, people in hoodies and shorts. The biggest surprise was the bill. We stayed with Canadian wine(which was the cheapest) and had two bottles. In between bottles we switched to glasses as we were not sure of staying for the music(we were charged $20 for that privilege). When the bill arrives we found out the server had chosen the most expensive option of wine at $28 a glass, not sure how we ended up with the most expensive wine. The disappointment of a night was the mains. My steak and the chicken dinner were not great, certainly not a chairman’s steak.
The other issue in this, the tiny table we had and all tables crammed together. We were on a table that was barely big enough for 2 plates, thankfully the table next to us was a table for 4 but only 2 sat there, anytime the the lady wanted the washroom, we got a face full of backside due to how tight the tables are packed together.
Chairman’s is our favourite and probably the most expensive restaurant, it’s always worth it. We have never spent this amount of money at the chairman’s. Lesson learnt, stick to what you know.
EDIT UPDATE: A truly unprofessional reply by the manager. I question the accountability of dismissing the fact the server made a decision of company profiteering from choosing the most expensive wine by the glass, even though we only wanted Canadian wine, clearly the manager sees no wrong in that. I also questioned the fact that we were celebrating a special night, why should we ask to be moved. Most restaurants would put clients on good tables, the fact is, there probably are not good tables at this establishment.
The managers response is indicative of today’s environment. No care about the customers, just profit and profit by deception on the looks of it. Lesson learnt. Should have believed the reviews before hand.

Overall very disappointed. We normally go to Charimans for special occasions but fancied trying something different. Food was ok. Appetizers were great, Brussels sprouts and prawns were delicious but my chicken dinner was very poor for $33. Chicken was small and fries were soft. Partner had Striploin, again, was poor, very chewy and sides were small. Worst thing was the wine. We ordered a bottle of pinot noir, when that finished we asked if it was available by the glass and our server said yes, so ordered three more glasses, overall, but when the bill arrived we found out it was NOT the same winery, it was a different one and much much more expensive. Just very disappointing for what we spent which was A LOT.
It was amazing to be able to have dinner while listening to music. We got a nice booth for our party of 3. We were celebrating my partner birthday. Good service!
The steak was only warm, sides were cool, when I noted with the waitress she said she would talk to the kitchen, but nothing else was said. Poor experience, probably won't go there again.
We were greeted promptly upon entering and seated right away. Our waiter, Tia was amazing. She was fun and efficient. We found the white wine by the glass lacking in good selection, but found one that was ok. We shared the queso dip, which was quite tasty. The band, Black Light, was very good. Unfortunately, the place was very quiet with few patrons, so we left to go somewhere more lively. Overall good experience!
They charged $5 cover fee on final bill when there’s a band, but they do not inform you in advance and there are no signage

Second time back here and the music is so loud you can’t hear a thing. You can’t even have a conversation. We hate the live music so much. It’s so overbearing. I can’t understand who would ever like it. We looked ahead online before we went to make sure there would be no live music before we came and the internet said there wouldn’t be. Well there was. It’s so abrasive. I just don’t understand whoever told these people they should blast bad live music at top volume so that it’s impossible to even carry a normal conversation without shouting at the top of your lungs. Ruined the whole night. Waste of money. Waste of a date night.

Great place for a quiet lunch. Service, food and were great. Have been there a few times recently and would highly recommend.
Food was very salty and not at all worth the price. Very disappointing experience.
Service was great, very kind! Ordered wings and tater tots as appetizers & they were yummy + they were on happy hour! Steaks were cooked perfectly. And as we ordered dessert, the live entertainment began & they sounded wonderful! Great spot for date night.
We had a good time here with good company. The music was the highlight. Vibe was enjoyable. I had a drink called a Dreamcicle which was outstanding but small for the price of $15.00. The food was good but not outstanding. Same goes for the service. We were told that we had 2 people assigned to our table but considering that we saw them not as much as we would have expected. However when we did, they were pleasant and responsive. They comped our friends dessert as it was his birthday so that was nice. We would return as we did enjoy the singer and the vibe. I suggest the restaurant maybe pay attention to the taste and execution of the food and the little things on service to up the value of the experience for the high prices.
Cost of wine was ridiculous at $29/Glass. More than double what it was last year. Not helping to attract new business at that price.
