I really like the pizza from this store now that new ownership has taken over. The pizza is cook properly and the cheese is not greasy. The pizza was good with the old owners for decades but just before the new owners took over the pizza was barely cooked(I had to finish cooking it in my oven at home) and the cheese was sooooo greasy it was disgusting. Thanks to the new owners for making the pizza right and not buying the cheapest cheese going! My favorite pizza place 😊

New owners have ruined this place. It was the best pizza in the city for so many years. New ownership has come in and changed the recipes. Pizza is nowhere near what it used to be. After 20 years I won't be going here anymore...what a shame.

I recently ordered two veggie pizzas and momos, and everything was absolutely delicious! The pizzas were loaded with fresh toppings, had the perfect amount of cheese, and the crust was cooked just right — crispy on the outside and soft inside. The momos were equally amazing, full of flavor and served piping hot. The service was quick and friendly, and the food exceeded my expectations. I will definitely be ordering again. Highly recommend!

Stay away from this place!!! I wish I would have read the reviews prior to giving them a second chance. NOT the same pizza although they will argue with you that it is. Not good anymore. I think they use cheap ingredients now. Nowhere near the quality that the old owners had. Obviously they pay for or make up the good reviews. Customer service sucks! If you call with an issue all they will do is argue with you and tell you that they haven’t changed anything. Sad that a place that used to be amazing has gotten so BAD

We’ve been coming here for a long time and their pizza has always been amazing. We ordered the same pizza that we have always ordered but this time we ordered it for delivery. Took an 1 hour 15 minutes to get and it was barely warm and not the same quality we’ve grown to expect. I’m not sure if they don’t care as much when you’re not there or if this is what they have become? We asked for extra cheese and yet we were able to see the crust. Not impressed! As for owner’s response, I called before I wrote this review and was told the recipe is the same and nothing changed. They didn’t care to do anything for me then? Now online they want to look like they care?

We’ve ordered from here for the past 15 years. Was the go to when having a hankering for thin crust pie. Was the best in town & I mean WAS!!! To our dismay all we got was a terrible cold pizza once it finally arrived that took almost an hour & half. Paid for extra cheese, definitely not as you can see through the toppings. To top it all off I even gave the driver a tip $55 for cardboard. What a huuuuge disappointment, sorry but you won’t last long with sub par pizza especially when you pay for premium pie.

Great little pizza place. The staff are great, and the food is always good. I always order the rio pizza because it's amazing. I've also tried the baked lasagna which is good, but could use more sauce, and have also tried the wings which were really good. I would definitely recommend rio pizza to everyone!!
Staff is very friendly. The Pizza is the Best in the City. The Rio pizza is my favorite. Lasagna is very good too. I would give them 6 stars if I could.

I see that it is under new management. They are so nice and hospitable but you can taste that pizza is very different. I will definitely miss the old rio such great pizza.

The best Momo in Calgary no questions asked. The Momo were super juicy and the tenderness of the Momo wrap was just as required. And the achar with the monos were top notch. The pizza we had was butter chicken pizza which was very tasty and good. Also want to add that, the service provided was excellent. I would recommend everyone to try the food in here at least once in their lifetime.

I had a great experience this weekend. Rio catered the food for my Christmas party for 20 people. They worked with me to get what I needed, lasagna with garlic toast and pizza. The food was delicious, hot, and delivered on time. They were very helpful and friendly. I would use them again. Thanks
