Came solo for dinner and did not regret. I order spaghetti with pesto salsa and pistachios with a glass of red wine. Perfect combination!
I love gnocchi ? and they serve one of the best gnocchi in Vancouver. We also enjoyed our tiramisu and coffee. We will definitely visit again
This lively, authentic Italian restaurant was more than just delicious food and amazing service. From the moment we arrived, when we were greeted as though we were old friends, we knew we'd come to the right place. Our server, Antonio, was absolutely delightful, his smile genuine and contagious. And about that food...I had the Pappardelle "Roche Roche" and my husband chose the Pasta al Pesto. Every bite was simply ambrosia. (Of course we traded a few bites from each other's plates.) This will be our first dinner destination every time we return to Vancouver. Thanks for an unforgettable evening, Antonio! (And everyone at Robba Da Matti
Loved this restaurant since opening years ago. However, recent experiences have been inconsistent. One of us ordered Scoglio pasta (seafood) and the seafood content was minimal. Not up to standard. Happened before and we mentioned it to the staff then. Also ordered the charcuterie board to share. Mostly good, but included were 3 slices of pancetta....a meat with high fat content usually not served raw. Perhaps lack of experience in the kitchen. Service always great!
Off the beaten path, this place offers a special experience in a very nice setting. Delicious Italian food!
Great place! Great service! Great staff! I got the tuna tartare and the gnocchi n they were delicious!! Very well made! And the tiramisu is phenomenal!!
If you looking for a top quality restaurant in midland , Robba da Matti is the place , I believe they have four location to serve you , I surprised my long time friend who live in West End since the 70's for her special birthday , not a well come entrance like a historic building , but what a beautiful elegant classy dinning room inside , great place for meeting and for date ! we are little early for our reservation , maybe a weeknight , not too busy , hostess set us down right away with a smile , menu excellent well planned , lo t of choices and not expensive at all , my friend love her Spaghetti Allo Scoglio , variety seafood looks delicious , my Lobster & Crab Ravioli is not too shabby too very flavourful , it is a classic dish , we also share the Prosciutto & Burrata nicely done , over all , top fresh quality authentic Italian dishes , amazing outdoor patio and our sever very professional , not a thing I can complain and my friend so happy and still shock with the surprised dinner , she love every bite so if you looking for a great place for pasta , Robba da Matti is the first choice and I truly enjoyed it ! wonderful for DATE !
Nice evening with family after trip from New York. Tuna Tartare was great. Warm atmosphere. Get location.
My wife and I stumbled upon this place as we were taking an alternate route from busy Denman Street back to our hotel on Alberni Street on Pride Day Sunday. As we walked through quiet Gilford Street after having dinner elsewhere, we saw the beautiful and romantic patio settings of this restaurant. We stood outside taking in the ambience of the patio when Kelly of the restaurant noticed us and reached out to let us know everything was fully booked, but that we could make reservations for other dates. Having dinner was not our intent as we've already had dinner, but we pondered the possibility of a future dinner here. So, Kelly helped us book a reservation for 2 days later. Upon our dinner date, we found the place just as envisioned: Excellent food and superb service. Kelly, Keely and the whole staff made us feel welcomed at all times. The experience at the restaurant was such that we had to come back the next day for our last dinner in Vancouver. And the second time was just as good as the first. What a gem of a restaurant! To the owners of this great restaurant, you've gathered an excellent team of great cooks and staff. So, keep them happy, and your clientele will continue raving about your establishment. Bravo to the team of Robba da Matti at Haro Street! Thank you Kelly, Keely, Andrea, the great cooks and bar tender. We'll reminisce of such a beautiful experience.

We called & made a reservation for 6. We were not told on the phone there’s an automatic gratituty. Then in person, one person couldn’t come, so it was 5 of us. The waitress didn’t inform us again that an automatic tip applies. Then once our bill came, they charged a huge automatic 20% tip (after the tax was calculated). We complained & the waitress didn’t care. Our table made no difference if it were 5 or 6 people. She refused to remove the automatic tip & wouldn’t even get a manager. She even said if you don’t like it, it’s fine. You don’t have to come back. Terrible experience.
Went here for the first time for our anniversary dinner, and all I can say is WOW. Im always a little sceptical on Italian pasta places being over priced, but this place is well worth it for top quality food and service. A cute little hidden gem. First, the staff were so kind and attentive and sat us in a quiet little corner to enjoy our champagne. We did the “date night” special; 2 appetizers, 2 pastas, 2 desserts, and a bottle of wine for $140. We had prosciutto bruschetta and the beat salad for appetizer. Bath delicious. Lobster ravioli and spaghetti carbonara. Phenomenal. You can tell it’s fresh ingredients. And tiramisu and a chocolate mouse for dessert. Had to get it to go because we were stuffed. But they too were also very good. We’ll be going back again! Highly recommend.
My daughter, her fiancé and I visited Robba da Matti in the West End on Haro Street in April 2023. When we entered, we were given a warm welcome and seated immediately along the cozy and comfortable cushioned wall seating. The service was fantastic as was the meal. We enjoyed the delicious Date Night dinner and added the Zappa di Pesce for an extra main dish. There was plenty of food and it was all delicious! The Mezzemaniche Alla Crema Di Burrata was fabulous! We look forward to returning.
This restaurant was first of all accommodating and sat us down without any reservation on a Friday evening. It's a very busy restaurant and the vibe is a happy one. We ordered a salad and sadly can't remember which one but it was good together with their house bread. I had the spaghetti al pesto and burratta and this was yummy. I think next time I would.like to try the lobster and crab ravioli.
I looked at their dine out menu and found it very appealing. We made reservations for dinner on Saturday, January 2l. I’m glad we made reservations because they were absolutely booked solid. It is a very small restaurant but the inside has a very nice cozy feel to it. It is an open kitchen so it was interesting to watch the activity. Although the restaurant was full it was not noisy and it had a nice comfortable vibe. Although we decided to try Robba Da Matti because of the dine out menu we felt that the date night menu was better suited for what we wanted because we enjoy wine with dinner. The date night option allows for 2 antipasti or 1 Yaletown antipasto, 2 pastas, 2 desserts and a bottle of wine for $140.00. A small plate of olives were brought to the table. My husband quickly polished these off. For the antipasti my husband ordered the Salad Celeste. It was a large serving consisting or organic greens, cranberries sliced almonds and tossed with olive oil and balsamic vinegar. I had burrata caprese. Both antipasti were amazing. The portion sizes were very generous. A nice warm bread was brought to the table with the antipasti and it was marvelous. It was warm and crusty. The ingredients in both antipasti were so fresh and full of flavour. The tomatoes in my burrata caprese were amazing so fresh and full of flavour. It is the best burrata caprese that I’ve had. After a decent interval our entrees of Crab and lobster ravioli and taglietelle fungi were served. My husband said that his taglietelle fungi made with home made pasta was one of the best pasta dishes he has had. My crab and lobster ravioli topped with 3 prawns was also very good. We were full after our antipasti and entrees but we were also concerned that time was about to expire on our parking meter. We asked to have our desserts of tiramisu and panna cotta packed for us to go. Our server Mathilda was very good. Although the restaurant was so busy she still took the time to interact with us and chatted briefly with us. She was so efficient and took such good care of us even although she was so busy. If you need to use the washroom you must go out of the restaurant and use the washrooms in the office building. You will need a key for this. We had such a wonderful experience at Robba Da Matti and look forward to dining here again. We would highly recommend Robba Da Matti for a nice night out with friends or a great date night. A restaurant with a great welcoming feeling, wonderful service, outstanding food and fair prices – what’s not to like?
