This was one of the best dining experiences I have had in a long time. I have never been to the Chianti Grill before, and from the moment we walked in we were greeted warmly by the hostess and brought to our booth. The dining area is very warm and inviting, nicely decorated and lighted. I was planning on getting Chicken Marsala, but made a game time decision and switched to the Italian Street Pasta, which had sausage, grilled chicken, shrimp, peppers, mushrooms, onions and roasted...
A long time go-to spot was a bit off their game last night. We had a 7:15 reservation and it was 8:00 before we finally had a waiter take our dinner order. The food was good as usual, but the service was not up to what we have come to expect after many visits to Chianti Grill. Everyone has an off day now and then and this won't discourage us from making future visits.
The food (for me) was not up to standards. The fish was fishy and the shrimp was blah. We were there just for appetizers and happy hour drinks, celebrating our wedding anniversary. I ordered a side salad just to put something inside me. The drinks were perfected and the restaurant treated us to dessert. So overall, pleasant. We will of course be back as “Bread Club” members.
