Never mind the bad news and the entire service was terrible from the beginning of the Pedalpub season

Excellent service, great selection of beer and a buzzing atmosphere even on a weeknight.I arrived to just Bar Snacks and Pizza being available. The SBC pizza had great flavour but the steak was chewy and the crust soggy (couldn't pick it up, had to use a knife and fork). Would definitely go back for the beer and try other items in the full menu.

Stopped into the Rose & Crown Pub before a concert and the Saddledome. Haven't been there in years and definitely wasn't disapointed. We had a party of six. No issues getting a table. We all had drinks and some dinner. Waitress was super attentive with filling beverages. Great selection of beers on tap. Food was delicious. We had some wings and nachos. All very fresh and good portion sizes. Couple of the guys had burgers. Very tasty and filling. All in all, a good way to start our night!

My family of 11 went there on Sunday the 7th and didn’t have the greatest experience. Our waitress who did not tell us her name was very obviously annoyed with our presence there. As a person who’s worked in the service industry I can understand it being a hard job but giving customers attitude and failing to serve properly is not ok when you’re paying so much for the food. She made it very clear how annoyed she was that my elderly grandparents did not have phones and needed actual menus. As a restaurant you need to have physical menus to accommodate all age groups. She took all of our drinks away without asking about refills and if refills were requested she never came back with them. Another family member had asked which soft drinks were available and she said “you can look at the menus”, which didn’t have any soft drinks on it only alcoholic drinks. Again I understand the service industry isn’t awesome but my family was very kind and easy to deal with. The attitude and behaviour from our server was not necessary.

We dropped into this place during the Lilac Festival and really enjoyed ourselves. The atmosphere was great everyone was smiling. We both ordered the fish and chips. Very generous portions, which tasted fantastic. Really relaxing friendly atmosphere I recommend it.

They have a fantastic happy hour. We went on Friday evening and all drinks around $5.75, the chips and guac was $6 and fish n chips was about $14.

Visited during the lilac festival, which made it totally understandable that the staff was busy. However, it did take us a very long time to even be said hello to, and we really didn't get much service. That being said, the food was good and I'd love to go back sometime less busy

We used to go to the Rose & Crown a lot for wing night. Went last night, and the wings were not good at all. No flavour and hardly any sauce, and the server admitted they often get complaints about the wings. The server was nice enough to bring extra sauce on the side. Most of the group did not feel good the next morning either. Sadly, won't return unless things really improve.

This is still one of my favourites pubs in Calgary. Like the Cat n Fiddle, it's a renovated funeral home. The owners have done a great job of maintaining the place. Our service was prompt and friendly. Food was good and the prices were reasono.

What a shame that the patio is no longer dog friendly. We were sitting outside enjoying happy hour and a man in a wheelchair brought his quiet and well-behaved older basset hound in and was promptly turned away. It was a huge disappointment and broke my heart to see this. There was not one person on the patio who felt differently. Shame on you, Rose and Crown!

If you are looking for amazing salad, most friendly and caring staff, and a cool Irish vibe in rustic atmosphere, this is your place! This salad cannot be beat! The ingredients and dressing is beyond wonderful!

I LOVED the food! Excellent service, kind waitress' rustic decor. Felt cozy. I was visiting Calgary this weekend and found this pub and had an amazing time. Great portions , the salad was so good. Nachos were delicious and would be perfect for a group of friends willing to share. A little while into our meal the manager came up , introduced himself, and offered me, my mom and my brother tickets to tonight's Flames vs Canucks game. I have never been to an NHL game and had such a blast. Thank you so much

Finally got to The Rose & Crown pub. Felt like I was actually in Dublin, such an authentic and wonderful pub atmosphere. We went for their Wednesday night Wings night. Delicious wings and a selection of 8 different flavours. Wings are .44$ each, you can't beat that deal. We ordered hot/Buffalo, Jamaican J**** Teriyaki and Mango Bourbon. All were very tasty but my personal favourites were the Jamaican J*** (such good spice flavours) and the Buffalo because I love a little spice in my life. We started with the "to die for" spinach dip which comes with the freshest bread for dipping. We also ordered the truffle fries- a large shareable portion in a V shaped server ( wish I had taken a photo) and well seasoned with seasoning and parmesan cheese. Very tasty indeed! Naturally, we had several rounds of Guinness to go with our meal. Each one perfectly poured ? Our only disappointment was that they didn't have the Guinness Chocolate Cheesecake available :(. We ordered the Sticky Toffee Pudding instead which was a delicious alternative. The service was great. Jordan, our waitress, was friendly, helpful, and very efficient and knew when to drop by our table just when we wanted to order something else. All in all, we had a very enjoyable evening and dinner and will definitely be back soon!
