This is NOT an African restaurant, certainly not an East African restaurant. The owner is absolutely amazing but unfortunately they do not represent African food, but rather Indian food.I drove there craving Tanzanian food only to get Indian food, very disappointed and I didn't understand why they use the African banner food and hire Indian chefs. Please hire someone who can actually cook any African food. The so-called African food is blunt. I am very disappointed because it is not a true representation of African food

I have been to this restaurant before i believe under different owner, but this time around i was very very disappointed with the service and the food. Starting with the service, the person at the counter saw me coming in and just walked away and i stood there for about 5min. Basically there was not even am ounce of customer service from start to finish. The food was amazingly tastless, the fish was not cleaned properly, fish scales and chicks were present and whatever sauce they had on top of the fish had no taste to it. On and all i would not recommend anybody to go eat here, they can't cook true authentic Africa food period.

Was cold in the restaurant, and we asked if they could not blast the A/C, and they said too bad.
The ambiance and decor are quite chaotic and cheezy
The owner wouldn't split the bill at the end and rudely demanded that we transfer funds to one person so he didn't have to pay the interac fee on a separate transaction.
Don't waste your time. Go across the street to Tiffin, their ribs are way better

We used to come here a lot, but we moved out of Calgary, so we thought we would stop-in because we were passing through. We ordered the masala chipsi and beef ribs. The ribs were as good as I remember, but the masala chipsi was terrible. It was basically warmed up tomato sauce on fries. Very disappointing given how good this place was before.
