We really enjoyed this place. The food was excellent, and the servings are abundant. The service was very friendly and the food came quickly. I ordered the lemongrass beef, and it was delicious with perfectly cooked crispy broccoli and other vegetables. My wife had the wonton noodle soup and it too was excellent. This is definitely a standout place between the quality of the food and the friendly atmosphere. I would highly recommend this place.
The food and service was good overall, but there wasn't any cilantro due to the main demographic that visits. I love cilantro and it pairs amazing with vietnamese pho, so it was disappointing because it felt like the dish was missing something.
Best Pho in Calgary. No contest.
And it's a total time warp to go there. It's obviously new and clean and shiny, but it's equally obvious that you've slid through a time warp back to 1972 - in the best way possible.
Edit: We went again tonight for the first time in a while, and I swear time does not pass in this place. It's still so clean, immaculate, and the owner never ever ages. He's still a delight, and always...
