I've been to Vietnamese restaurants throughout Canada and have always been served hot or cold jasmine tea (weather dependent). None was offered. Asked for the tea or at least some water but, was advised tea was chargeable. I opted for the water.
I ordered grilled pork chops with rice and it was fine. Not much flavour in the marinade and the accompanying dipping sauce was also quite bland.
My partner ordered beef pho and it was really not good. The prevailing flavour was cinnamon and sugar. There was a hint of beefy flavour. I'm wondering if the chef tasted the broth or just threw things into the pot and hoped for the best.
We consumed most of our respective meals as we were starving having spent most of the day in Banff hiking.
I'm also used to the indifference of servers in general at Vietnamese restaurants and this one did not disappoint in that regard.

Normally we enjoyed ordering from here but we are a peanut allergy household and always request no peanut garnishes on the food which was not followed. If you have an allergy this is not an allergy safe restaraunt.
