Very, very cool place. Live music on Friday. Nice patio and the food is STELLAR. Service is seriously incredible. It was busy and we still got seated, food and drinks very quick with prices reasonable. Go. Go there now!!!!!

Such a fun little place… amazing food and awesome service accompanied by live music! The food was so full of flavour, we’d asked the server for his recommendations, and went with it. Our kids enjoyed chips and salsa, the barbacoa beef tacos and the kids quesadillas. Definitely recommend! (Sadly we didn’t take any photos)

Always good food from Salt and Pepper. The staff and owner were very friendly and can tell that this family run establishment is a Bowness go to. Will always be on the list of best neighbourhood restaurants in Calgary!

Best Mexican food I’ve had outside of Mexico. Fresh and authentic. All homemade. Wonderful cozy ambiance. Owner was on site and is warm and engaging. Highly recommend.

Definitely one of the best restaurants in Calgary. Very high-quality ingredients, fresh, tasty, and at very good prices. I recommend it to anyone looking for Mexican flavors!!

Had the best Mexican experience in town. Being from California , I was craving a very special dish ( devil shimp ). I literally called Abuelo and requested. And guess what , they actually made it for me and I have the best meal ever. We also orders nachos and guacamole , quesadillas and shrimp fajitas and they were all delicious. This Mexican restaurant serves with a Mexican heart. Love it and will be back soon.

Holy Salty!!. I guess thats the salt in the salt and pepper. Ordered the dinner for two which comes with chips and salsa. We had also ordered a couple of drinks and when the chips and salsa arrived it was so salty that we could hardly speak. Got up and left. Not sure why the chips were as salty as they were but it was not nice. Check your taste buds at the door.

What a disaster .... The tastes aren't there... the worst thing was that we asked for 3 chips so that our child could finish his guacamole, we were brought a bowl of very salty chips and in the end we were charged for the bowl of chips with the sauce that we had never asked for.... Bad experience, bad service, bad food. Only the singer was nice

I was given the wrong order. Tried calling. No answer. After 5 calls and a day later someone answered. They agreed to replace my order and it was not Mexican. Overpriced taco time. It used to be so good there and I am very disappointed. Staff and family are so lovely but the food has declined BIG TIME

Amazing Mexican! Just happened to be the taco Tuesday buffet the afternoon we decided to try and it was so good and extremely reasonably priced at $14 per person! Authentic tasting chicken and chorizo tacos with great topping options. Drinks were awesome and we also tried both soups which were both so good. Will be back.. probably a lot

We had the all you could eat taco Tuesday....the food was just okay, but the service was amazing, the price was right and my teenager was full, so I'd call it a great dinner.

Nice staff but horrible food. Stale chips, brown guacamole, salsa that tasted spoiled. Pork tacos were bland watered down pulled pork. Beans were cold and grilled corn was slathered in mayo. There are much better options for Mexican food with flavor in this city. I won’t bother coming back here.

The food was amazing. Had a brisket torta and the bread was crispy and soft. Had it with the tortilla soup for dipping and the flavors were incredible! The burritos are massive and tasty, and the dirty rice has just the right texture.
It has a very relaxed atmosphere, simple tables and chairs, a bar, lots of ambient lighting.
Service was excellent. Patrons should be prepared for a wait, it's good slow food and takes time. Have a drink and chill.
I was corrected that their tres leches cake is now Quatro leches, with whipped cream on top! Definitely worth it!
