10/10 experience here. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu and made great recommendations. You must try the Bombay & Jappa fries! The chai latte was made in house. The atmosphere is also very cool- definitely feels authentic and felt the love the owner dedicated into the space. They also supported teachers during the strike- major points!

Absolutely amazing. Phoned before arriving. warm invitation to stop in for some great food from a well spoken lady. (Great job on the phone) she recognized my voice on arrival. She helped with my selection with descriptive and friendly suggestions. THE maple Miso BENNY was one of the best ever. Highly recommend and will be back

I gave this place multipe tries and both times have kinda sucked. I will say the decor and the service were great, I love the small cozy vibe of the interior and our server came over and chatted with us when they had time.

However, first time I got a french toast, and while the appearance was impressive, toast with a literal mountain of whipped cream and some stewed blueberries, the french toast was a whole brioche bun and none of the egg mixture soaked into the bread, literally a bun wrapped in sweet scrambled eggs. The whipped cream was sickening in proportion, and overall felt like a really annoying way to ruin a simple dish that most of us could make better at home.

Second time I got the Jerk Chicken and it was ok, the chicken breast was barely grilled, and fitted with a naan bun and some wet slaw to sog it up for $22 is crazy, even in this economy.

Everytime I talk about Sammies with my friends they speak positively of them, so my experience makes me feel like I've undergone some kind of psychosis. I'm willing to give this place another try.

A Revelation in Calgary Brunch: Service and Sophistication Converge
Any truly memorable dining experience relies on the seamless convergence of inspired culinary execution and impeccable hospitality. On both of these critical fronts, this establishment excels. A sincere commendation is due to the kitchen staff for their meticulous work and flair, elevating the menu beyond the expected. Furthermore, special recognition must be given to our server, Jordan, whose attentive and polished service transformed the meal from a simple transaction into a genuine gastronomic pleasure.
What could easily be relegated to the realm of 'just another generic brunch spot' is, in fact, a refreshing culinary revelation. Our extensive order—comprising two traditional breakfast compositions and the highly anticipated Bombay Benny—paired perfectly with two expertly crafted cocktails and a quality coffee.
Tucked away as a true Calgary hidden gem, the value proposition here is remarkable. The kitchen pairs its flair with an unexpected generosity in portion sizing, ensuring satisfaction without sacrificing sophistication. Given the quality of the ingredients and the refined service, the total bill of just over $100 for three patrons feels entirely justified.
A particular highlight deserving singular praise was the French Toast. Drizzled with a high-quality syrup, this dish transcends mere breakfast fare. It presents a masterful textural and flavor experience—a dense, sweet, and comforting finale that, quite frankly, I would rank as a strong contender for a hypothetical final meal. This is a destination well worth seeking out.

They changed their menu and the portions are ridiculously smaller.
Strange menu options and not too many options.
Prices are insane for what they are bringing to the table.
No side options with the meal you need to pay extra now.
I really loved Sammie’s before they made all these absurd changes…
Our server also wasn’t really checking up on us but was more chatty with the back which I get you can have fun at work but we were waiting for a while for her to finish her convo …
Who ever is in charge, is bringing this place down hill. Nervous and worries for them
RIP Sammie :,(
