The atmosphere was awesome, the feeling like it just for you, everyone is calm around, no rush, a place to relax.. Everyone was very friendly and Vlad gave us the best advices about all of the menu and was patient with me asking questions about so much things, (not easy to choose from a big incredible menu, lol) Didn’t have to ask for anything at all, it somehow always were there a second after i thought about it The food was delicious, got to try couple more things of the menu and will come back for more! It was fast as well, good for a lunchtime!

Was a great experience, great food, drinks were also good. The atmosphere inside is warm and welcoming. Love the art and the high ceilings. Service was a little slow and they weren't busy. BUT they were also prepping for a large event from the looks of it and our server was wonderful. I would definitely come again!

The Caesar salad was quite nice and I was quite surprised by the toasted breadcrumbs. The salad was properly dried and seasoned.
However the pappardelle e polpette was disappointing. The meatballs are uniform in colour and texture without much taste. The sauce is straight pomodoro without much additional seasoning. I will give them credit for the pappardelle texture but other than that the pasta was not good. It had a lot of potential but they need to elevate the sauce beyond just tomatoes.

A great experience all and all. The best service I’ve had in a while, even though we had a large party our server was very attentive and fast because we had 1.5 hours until our next event. The best food and drinks also, I highly recommend bees knees if you enjoy gin cocktails and I recommend the caesar to start, then gnocchi as the main. The bruschetta was also amazing. Definitely will be booking again here

We came for Valentine’s Day, they seemed to be more concerned about getting people packed in than making sure they have a good experience. We were sat at a plastic folding table and shitty chairs. The cocktail menu I only had stock standard drinks. There was NOTHING special for Valentine’s Day, the wine menu was poor as well. The food was okay but needed a lot more seasoning, if you like bland than that’s the place for you. You can tell they paid for reviews on here or are trying to minimize the bad ones because we went in thinking it was going to be great and were very very disappointed. The tables weren’t set properly, our sever was nice but seemed overwhelmed and frantic. No quality checks on the food after it was dropped and EXPENSIVE to boot. Would not recommend.

OMG, what an amazing time at this new Italian restaurant in downtown Calgary. From the moment we walked in and met the managers Elly and Andrea to the service, Wow!
Coming in on Valentines weekend without a reservation they let us know at the door they could accommodate since we were a bit early on the big rush. We were fine with that since we only had an hour before heading to a show at the Jubilee.
Server Kersten was amazing. Told us about her favorites on the menu, and told us about the history of the restaurant.
We were undecided between drinks and food and Kersten asked her bar manager David to offer his services for recommendations between what we were considering for wine pairings. But based on his suggestions of pairing we decided to start with some cocktails while we enjoyed our apps. The rum penicillin is dangerously good. Wow! My date had a negroni, cant go wrong there, right?
For apps, we had the recommended Calimari, and how can you go wrong with cheesy garlic bread. Both Winners!
For mains, I had the Calabrese, as I heard the server at the table next to us (Brad or Vlad) describe it as their favorite and it sounded amazing, and it was! My partner had the parmesian, no complaints other than not able to finish it (they boxed up the leftovers for us!). We were also recommended the Ripassa as a wine to accompany our diner and it matched great (these guys are really on point).
To finish we had a couple afogatos... No better way to finish an italian diner than with some gelato and ice cream and I had to have a Canoli to accompany.
Thank you Scarpetta for making a quick unexpected stop a memorable one.
