Typical classic pub with a pub food and vibe. Decent service and prices. Went there for wings and they were very good.

Tried a year ago and wasn't pleased with the meal then. Had the halibut but didn't know the fish was frozen. Didn't taste great.
This time popped over for lunch, waited about 10 mins before being seen. There were only 3 other tables of 2 there so not busy. Server came to take our drink order but didn't bring menus. She was pleasant and friendly. Ordered the chicken burger. Was very thin and dry. Not chincy on the bacon and generous size of the tomato. You get thicker frozen chicken patties than these dry pancakes. Coffee was weak, like drinking hot water. The coke was darker than the coffee.
This will last visit. Definitely not how the food used to be.

Fantastic service all evening long. When my drink was getting low, staff were right back at the table for me to order another one. Friendly atmosphere. Free pool tables. What more could someone ask for?

We’ve lived in the area for 13 years and have been on-and-off Schooners patrons over the years. It’s one of those Calgary pubs that everyone seems to know — and to be honest, we’re not totally sure why. There’s nothing particularly standout, but the food is consistent, the drinks are cold, and it hits the mark when you just want something easy and familiar.
Living next door definitely adds to the convenience. It’s not fancy, but it’s reliable, and sometimes that’s all you need.
Great pub food and local beer
Cheese burger 🍔 and pint 🍺 is recommended of course

I used to live across the street. It's only gotten better in the past 25 years.

Had time to kill, stopped for a couple of cold brews. Only had pita chips and hummus, but it was good. Outside patio was good. It's located in a mini strip mall, but it was busy and staff were courteous and attentive. Nothing bad to say here. Cheers!

I have ordered twice from Schooner's Neighbourhood Pub. Both times, I received friendly and quick service.
The first time, I ordered a California Chicken Club. It was a fantastic sandwich with a good-sized, juicy chicken breast and nice, crispy bacon. The fries were crispy and flavorful.
The second time, I ordered a Captain's Clubhouse. It had chucks of turkey, albeit more dry. It was a decent clubhouse, though the California Chicken Club was the better of the two sandwiches.
I need to try their burgers next!
