It's the official pub of the hill what more do I need to say . It's like going to an 80s newfy bar.

Pretty standard neighbourhood pub. Friendly staff, fairly limited beer/cider selection, average pub menu.
Dietary restrictions: Very few gluten free options, but the servers are helpful in finding something.

Wing Wednesday we went for lunch.
Zoe N was our waitress.
Not the best service especially when our food came out which was a bit hard to get since she seemed a bit unable to handle the whole place by herself. A bit scattered.
We asked for salt and pepper and she was polite and said "no problem" but went straight to the waitress station and had a lengthy conversation with the female bar tender, had a spoonful of her soup, chatted more with the bartender, waiter for the bar tender to pour a pop, chatted more with the bar tender and finally dropped off the pop and then our salt.
Then my friend realized he needed ketchup(and mustard) and he asked for that, which the waitress said ok.
Again, she went back to her waitress station, had another spoonful of her soup, chatted with the bartender.
This time I raised my hand to get her attention to bring the ketchup and mustard and she yelled back at me that she had to get the cook to dispense the mustard and said "O my God" out loud and finally got off her ass to get the ketchup and mustard from the kitchen.
Hey Zoe N if this type of work is so hard for you maybe you should work at McDonald's with your kind of service and attitude.
Another subpar waitress at her finest.

2nd time there...
Server was pushy and rude. Hadnt even taken our jackets off and she was pushing for a drink order. Went to ask a question about the daily special and she brushed off a quick answer. She turned her back on us in mid answer. Dont even know what her name was. WAS NOT BUSY....FELT SUPER RUSHED.
This is not the first time, same waitress as the last time and just as bad. Zero tip. Dont assume you get a tip...terrible service.
WILL NOT BE GOING BACK AGAIN!

A classic neighbourhood pub. Good food, and great for everything from weekend football, dinner out, live music to just a quick pint.

I start every season at work, toasting an old friend in this pub. It was where we met when I first moved to Canada.
Staff are always friendly. There is always good and the food is not bad either.

Schooners is an awesome 'Local Pub' . Wings are by far the best in town. The servers are always up for a joke and make our time there so much fun.
We decided to stop by Schooners Pub in Calgary on a whim, and it turned out to be a great choice. The dry garlic wings were super tasty, and the drinks were cold and refreshing. The fairy lights added a nice touch to the place.
Our waitress was really friendly and helpful, which made our visit even better. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, even if it looked a bit dated. Everything was in good shape, though.
Overall, it was a fun and enjoyable experience, and we'll definitely be back when we're in the area again.
