The cooks made fun of me but didn’t know I could hear everything they said. They laughed at my varsity style jacket. I think the cook was jealous and insecure/trying to show off. Cook said they would use my sandwich as a flesh light. The young female, African American staff member laughed awkwardly and looked to see if I heard him. The staff are dirty and don’t wash their hands. Not sure why such high reviews. Absolute trash, it’s a shame. Considering filing a complaint with heath services. Very dirty place, so gross.

Got a chicken parm sandwich and it was super underwhelming…it lacked flavour and was honestly just really bland. The sandwich was practically falling apart and it was really hard to eat as there was the chicken to bread ratio was really off. I came home and actually got sick from it. The staff seem super nice and I like the vibe of the place but yea the food just wasn’t what I was expecting unfortunately.

Love the sandwiches here! Loaded, fresh and super flavourful. Went here for lunch and got exactly what we ordered. There was a line up and they were super busy. No problems though. Ordered an Italian combo sandwich for take out after 3 pm when the place wasn’t busy. Got home and saw that we got a Chicken Caesar instead. It was still amazing but not what we ordered.

Had the pleasure of trying their Italian sandwich which is arguably the best sandwich I’ve ever had!!! (Only one that comes close is the Montreal Smoked Meat Sandwich from Schwartz’s Deli in Montreal!!!) Absolutely stacked with ingredients!!! The photos of the sandwiches don’t do them justice as they cram so many top tier ingredients into a tightly rolled sandwich it is mind boggling!!! Paired with a Blood Orange Sanpellegrino it was perfection. 10/10 highly recommend!!! Definitely my new favourite spot in Calgary. Excellent food, great staff, and awesome atmosphere. Don’t sleep on Scozzafava Deli!!!
