Very poor customer service.
I placed a mobile order before walking into the store and waited inside. After standing there for a while, a staff member asked why I was there. I told her I was waiting for my mobile order.
Instead of checking on it, she immediately started blaming me, saying I should have told them when I walked in. I explained that I assumed a mobile order would automatically be prepared without needing to announce myself. She responded in a rude tone and said I “still needed to tell them,” speaking sharply and interrupting me while I was trying to explain.
Her attitude was dismissive and unprofessional. Being talked over and blamed as a customer is unacceptable.
If there is a specific procedure for mobile orders, it should be clearly communicated. Customers should not be treated rudely for something that is not explained.
Very disappointing experience.

Second Cup is considered to be the largest specialty coffee chain is Canada with over 200 stores. But I was so disappointed. I ordered a medium roast coffee and it was terrible. I couldn't even drink a quarter of the cup. It clearly was not specialty coffee, or perhaps it wasn't roasted very well. I suspect it was not specialty grade coffee. The coffee shop was very warm although it was cooler outside. The breakfast sandwiches were small and a bit expensive for what you get. The staff working there were very friendly, though. That was the only positive part, which is important.

This is the bizarre thing with cafes. No matter what the quality of the cappuccino, they all charge the same price. It was just a cup full of bubbles. No character at all and super bland coffee.

It’s been a warm, humid, and smokey day, and I ordered a Matcha Latte, but forgot to ask for iced. 😬 I was happy to just get them to throw a couple of ice cubes in, but the lovely lady at the front (1pm-ish on Thurs the 12th) insisted on making me an iced version. Much appreciated! Thank you for your great service, and I will be back. 😊

This place was super cute, definitely gave classic second cup vibes. It had the classic dark brown look which I loved. Met up with a friend here and my London fog was delicious, super flavourful. Her matcha was just okay. I did find they had the store very hot, made it uncomfortable to stay for long. Service was good, staff was friendly. Would go again!
