The place is charming but what a disappointing experience. The food was simply not good. BBQ Pork and Chicken baos (recommended by our waitress) were overly sauced and the sauces were extremely salty. Lollipop chicken was also overly sauced and the sauce was extremely salty, we couldn't eat them all. It was also overcooked and dry inside. The sauce on wagyu tataki was, you guessed it, very salty. The oysters were good and so was kimchi. The cocktails were delicious and pretty but $18+ each and 75% ice. It was an expensive dinner experience that simply was not worth the money. Finding parking was also a struggle.

Went for Golden Hour (happy hour) this past weekend and had an amazing experience. Food is incredible - the brussel sprouts and bao from small bites menu were a must-try. Amazing deal on cocktails as well and the sake creamsicle cocktail was delicious. Great ambiance and quick service as well. Will be highly recommending this restaurant to others.

A pretty decent Asian fusion restaurant. We ordered the Dragon Chicken Bao, which was solid and had a nice sauce. We also tried the Prawn & Salmon Aburi Roll and the Smoky Unagi Roll. We enjoyed the Prawn & Salmon; the salmon had a great texture. However, the Smoky Unagi Roll was a bit overcooked. Overall, the portions were on the smaller side for the price. I’d say this place feels more like a bar with small bites rather than a full restaurant.

My husband and I came here for our anniversary and we're blown away! Every dish was so unique fresh and flavorful. My only feedback is the patio could use some more upkeep given the price, but the sake, and service was exceptional! Thanks so much for a special evening. We'll for sure be back.

So underrated. I love sensei bar. They have the best baos in downtown and great happy hour deals. Their gai lan is to die for too. The new salmon sushi bites are a bit too salty though. Love the sake as well
Great meal and fantastic drink choices. Chefs took a lot of care in designing menu as well as cocktails to go with. Serving staff is very friendly and knowledgeable about menus. Great experience. Will definitely be back. Thank you for a great birthday meal!!

Food was fantastic! We had the 3 sushi rolls, brussels sprouts and BBQ bao. Can’t wait to go back to try more items on their menu. We sat outside, they have quite a few seatings and created a nice little secluded patio. Great to have cocktails half price during happy hour! Great staff and clean washrooms too ☺️

Do you like amazing food, unreal service and a perfect ambience. Sensei was by far one of the best dining experiences I've had in Calgary. Everything on the menu slapped and our server Eliza was so attentive and fun. Highly recommend!
