One of the best traditional Chinese restaurants left in Calgary. Same food as when I was a teenager. Always my favorite spot to go out of my way to eat at. Food is always consistent.

I've tried my fair share of Chinese restaurants, but here they consistently risen above the rest to become my absolute favorite. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere, and the staff is always friendly and attentive. But the real reason I keep coming back is the food – it's simply outstanding.

Food was really good! Fast and Friendly Service! Kinda tight space but restaurant was packed. Crispy Chicken, Salt N Pepper Squid, Peking Duck, Fried Rice, Fish Mow Soup, Lobster over Crispy Noodle all were fantastic!

Today to dinner, the bowl and spoon are exuded a strong smell of dish washing liquid, although the boss to times change the tableware, explained that the disinfectant residue, but after returning home, I feel bad, has been sick.

This restaurant is one of the first Chinese ones we've been too. We know lots of people who go here so they recommended it to us. Inside it's a bite tight meaning they have a lot of tables and not much space, but I guess they want to accomodate as much as possible. Very nice staff and service was great. Polite servers. We ordered salt and pepper squid, ginger beef mild, special rice and some vegetables. The salt and pepper squid is out of this world good!!! Really tasty, light and fluffy batter that was crispy but soft inside and the squid was cooked to perfection. Wasn't rubbery at all. The ginger beef was not my favorite but it was still delicious. A bit too sweet in my opinion. Vegetables were a bit bland but went well as a side dish. And the special rice was really delicious as well. Overall very great experience and will definitely be back for the squid and to try some new dishes as well.

Our order was absolute garbage. Shockingly bad, actually. Chinese take out in Calgary has a bad reputation and this place is why. Awful quality, awful preparation, awful taste. But Premium price. Absurd. Do not eat here.

We have been going to Shanghai Classic for years! It's a little out of the way but the food is always great and the wait staff is fabulous. My favourite dishes are the Oyster chicken and the dry beef with wide rice noodles.

Best Chinese in town (up there with U & Me). Love the Peking duck, mushu pork, Shanghai noodles, and ginger beef. Not the fanciest restaurant but amazing food.

The staff was very friendly. The food was very flavorful, not your usual bland, msg laden Chinese food. You could tell they used quality ingredients and took pride in what they were preparing.
