Usually a good sign when people line up outside down the street. I appreciate the details to ensure quick service and fast turn arounds. Server informed us they don’t split bills, menu mentioned no takeout or boxes for left overs.. assuming it’s to move people thru efficiently! Service was quick, food was great. If needed; Next door is their takeout spot, even have take home ramen kits.
BEST RAMEN IN CALGARY. I have been dining at this restaurant for over 10 years now, and every time I go back I understand why (again) I love this place so much. Their Kara Miso Garlic HITS like nothing else. Perfectly balanced with umami, spice, fat, sweetness, etc. Koki knows what he's doing! Delicious and thank you!
The classic beef shoyu ramen tasted mainly like smoke brisket dripping. Very heavy, greasy and salty. Can barely taste the chicken broth. Not a pleasant taste in my opinion. Was hoping for a cleaner taste broth with depth of flavor but this is not it. We were forced to finish and pay in 1 bill within 40min of us getting there (there's no line up outside yet) Very rushed. The place is loud. seats are not comfy. price is steep but not worth it. It used to offer better tasting...
