We ordered food from Signature Palace through Skip the Dishes tonight. Ginger beef was tasty but very chewy. We also ordered Shanghai Lo Mein which was a total disappointment. There were lots of tasteless thin noodles with a few slivers of chicken and a very few chopped veggies, I was unable to tell what kind. I would not order from this place again, they used to be much better.

Very disappointed!!! We were a group of 4, we were seated, and given a hotpot menu and the regular menu. When we went to order, one of our party wanted the hot pot and the rest of us wanted to order from the regular Chinese menu. We were then told that we cannot do that, and we ALL have order from the regular Chinese menu or ALL order from the hot pot menu. Alternatively our server offered that the one person at our table could sit at a different table by themselves and then have the hot pot alone and the remaining three of us could sit at different table and order the off the Chinese menu. That is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard! I'm not too sure what they're thinking, but I feel it was insulting as they were insinuating that the three people that did not order hot pot and would prefer to order from the Chinese menu would also be eating hot pot from the one lone guest that wanted hot pot!!! We were rather upset by the Ridiculousness of this and that they were so unaccommodating! The said it was policy! After this experience I'm very disappointed in the new ownership and their attitude so we will not be returning in light of this negative experience!

Sad that the quality of the Chinese food here has gone downhill now that they're transitioning to hot-pot.. It was my go-to spot for many years. Ordered food the other day and everything was just tasteless & OFF.

My wife and I ordered takeout tonight New Year’s Eve and place the order four hours early so it would be ready at 5 PM. When we got the food home it was the worst Chinese food we’ve ever had. Everything was dry and cold and we won’t be coming back again.

Ever since the restaurant we frequented (Golden Leaf) was sold and destroyed in our opinion, we have not had decent chinese food. Signature Palace will now be our go to restaurant.
Kind of bland and the squid was like rubber

We have been going to, or taking out from this restaurant for over 20 years and have been disappointed by the food quality the last couple of visits. Ordered takeout and arrived 15 minutes early to still have found our food was already packed.
Bill was over a $100.00 dollars and we didn’t receive the pickup discount!?!?
Got home to find the food cold and the Salt and Pepper Squid was very dry and tasteless. Had to reheat the soup and found the portions to be smaller than in the past and also cold.
Very disappointing will not go back!

DO NOT ORDER FOOD HERE ON Christmas OR CHRISTMAS EVE. Complete gong show. Expect to wait 2+ hrs for your food when told 30-45 mins. No one to explain what’s going on. this is the 3rd year we have tried and keep trying to give them the benefit of the doubt. Every year the confusion and wait gets worse. Save your time and frustration. Doesn’t matter if you dine in either with a reservation you’ll still wait for unreasonable time. Will not try again.

Ordered dinner for two for pick up and brought it home. Food was cold. Chicken balls were not edible. They had no taste and were cold and dry. The chicken fried rice was cold as were the ginger beef. I wish I could show you how bad the beef looked. The only thing that tasted good was the won ton soup. I'm embarrassed to have served this to my family. Unacceptable.

Not my favorite. The food was okay, but they have raw chicken on an open tray where all the vegetables are also in open trays. The broth was not very flavorful, but you could make sauces so that was good. The place said they close at 11, but they began cleaning everything up and making it obvious they wanted us to leave at 10. I likely wouldn't go back

I gave a low rating due to an unfair practice. We have picked up or dined in at this location for over 30 years. We have always throughly enjoyed their Chinese dishes and would rate them among the best in the city.
We recently decided to order online as we were driving and realized we could easily stop and pick up on our way home.
Once there, my husband proceeded to pick up our order and was surprised to find they would NOT honour their 10% off for pickup and 5% off for cash. This amounted to $12 on our order - quite significant.
When asked why, the staff member says catch you next time - they don’t honour online orders. You have to call in.
No where on their website does it say this!!
Also, how will he remember he owes us $12 next time? There was no effort made to record this.
We were also disappointed to find the food quality has dropped as we found the ginger beef was somewhat dried out. It seems to have been sitting a while.
Everything else was fine and tasted delicious.
It will be a while before we go back…

So incredibly disappointed. This used to be a very good restaurant. Our Ginger Beef and Salt and Pepper Seafood dishes were so tough and dry they tasted like they’d been scooped from yesterday’s buffet. Basically inedible. The House Special Chow Mein was very sweet and tasted like apple juice. The Beef with Broccoli and Spicy Hunan Fried Rice were the best part of the whole meal and they were only fine. Signature Palace used to make our very favourite Salt & Pepper Seafood. Irt wasn’t even breaded and deep fried. Spicy, fresh and tender. Won’t be ordering from here again.

Was hesitant to order takeout Chinese after it became a hotpot place but wanted to give it a shot as I loved the old place. The food was very bland and tasteless which i thought was strange but everyone who tried it said the same thing so they must have changed all the recipes. will sadly need to find a new Chinese takeout place.

Very disappointed!
Our group of four was seated and given both the hot pot menu and regular Chinese menu. When we tried to order, one person wanted hot pot, and the rest of us wanted dishes from the regular menu. We were told we all had to order from either the hot pot menu or the regular menu, not a mix.
Our friend that wanted hot pot would have to sit alone at a separate table while the rest of us sat elsewhere—completely ridiculous! It felt insulting, as if they assumed we’d share the hot pot without ordering it ourselves.
We found this policy unaccommodating and left feeling very upset. We won’t be coming back.
All we wanted to do is give these people our money and we were treated like thieves.
