The owner, who i am going to assume is named Simon, was a pleasure to speak with. He also let me steal one of the sample Beef Satay's right out of the microwave because I was desperate for a savoury, gluten free dish at the Crossroads market. It was perfect, the beef good quaility, the satay the perfect spice and texture. Can't wait to buy bulk meals for dawson city :)

I've never been to any of their retail locations, but I've ordered soups through a dance fundraiser! I have not tried every flavour, but the beef barley was rich while the mulagatawny was spicy! Both were jammed with flavour and goodness!These are a great meal to pull out of my freezer in the morning, bring to a boil and enjoy in the evening.Can't wait to try my potato bacon and broccoli cheese!

We went with Simple Simons pies for my son football fundraiser. They were quick with responding to questions and made receiving the orders super simple.
We had our first 9” Chicken pot pie for dinner tonight and it’s was absolutely amazing. Everyone was going back for seconds.

The food in this place is amazing. The owner of the store is also very welcoming he answered all our questions. You can taste the spice and sweetness of all the dishes we bought. He also gave me and my mom some soup to taste. Amazing soup. I approved Simple Simon Pies???.

Saskatoon pie purchased for uncles 90th birthday. He was raised on them as a prairie boy and loves them. Most fruit pies are best cold so that is how I served it. To say it was dreadful and embarrassing to serve is a tremendous understatement. To cut down on the number of berries in the pie, a thickening agent is used and you end up having the odd Saskatoon berry encased in a gelatinous repulsive sauce. Heating it up should have just made the goop warm instead. Truly the worst pie I have ever tried as we all put it to the side of our plate and didn’t finish it. Just an epic fail at an important event and as a dessert item.. Disappointing doesn’t to it justice..

I ordered online. The online ordering process claims they will use the "Shop" app to track your delivery, I installed it for this order. The app is never updated. You will NOT get a ETA. You will NOT get a text, you will NOT get an email with an ETA - they will not tell you in anyway when to expect your order. They claim they rang the door bell. I work from home and was listening to a zoom call in the time frame they said they delivered, even if it was +/- an hour or two, the door bell is a foot away from my head and very loud (I just tested it) and I was at my desk all day. No one rang the bell regardless of intentions. So my 12 pies, ~$60 worth of food sat on my door step for 24 hours. I actually found it while on the phone with them asking what kind of ETA I should expect. IF they respond to this review and say they have fixed their broken delivery process - great enjoy good/tasty meat pies via online. If they do not, do not order online, pick them up in person. it is not about the doorbell rather it is about the fact that I ordered on the 21st, they pies arrived on the 24th and I had zero idea what the ETA was that entire time and missed the delivery by an entire day, I found them on the 25th. Was it cold enough outside my food is probably ok... probably. I guess but they thawed out.

Bought pies for years from this establishment. This current location started out well a year or two ago. Stopped by recently to get some meat pies. The whole inside of the location was disgusting, just an absolute mess. Dirty, messy countertops that looked like a tornado had gone through it. Plexi barriers were covered with greasy skin imprints. All the produce section was empty. Not going to be returning.

While reading about the Calgary Farmers Market next door, we also read a recommendation to stop by here and get a Saskatoon Berry Pie. We like trying things we can't find at home so we stopped in and got a pie to take to our hotel to eat later. Our hotel room didn't have a microwave so we ended up eating the pie at room temperature, which was still fine. The pie was really sweet but also very filling, even though it looked small. We're glad we got to try their pie.
