Tried 4 samplers before purchasing. Absolutely astounding flavour. If you are in the area it's a must try. My favourite so far is the tourterrie.

Simon’s pies used to be perfect. Now that he has sold the business the pies are so expensive and filled with more corn starch than meat. They had a gold mine and ruined it.

Simons pies are what true happiness tastes like. 100000/10 recommend the steak and kidney pie. It’s been my favourite since I was a kid and every time I’m at crossroads I RUN to Simon’s Pies just so I can have one

Love these pies. It's 5.50 for a little one but a host of samplers. A lady told me that their chicken and mushroom was the best but every time I wanted a sample they've been out. The best for today was the beef and onion. Simply delicious. As much as I'd like a tallow or butter crust, they use vegetable oil however the pastry is very flaky and the fillings are delicious. They have frozen soups, as well.
Parking: Massive parking lot - lots of free parking

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Discover the finest ? in Calgary! Every item is a hit, especially my favorites: the Swiss chicken and mushroom, and the Jamaican beef curry pies. I've sampled all their pies and they're all outstanding, along with their soups! We've enjoyed these pies for years and always have some in the fridge for those times when cooking just isn't an option.

Thank you Donald love spell for bringing back my happiness after I had given up on my partner that we will never be together again. You are truly a man of your word and a man of great powers. There pies are so flavourful and delish. My family's favorites are Jamaican beef curry, Swiss chicken & mushroom, and butter chicken.

Stopped at Simple Simon Pies at Crossroads for family gathering desserts. Rhubarb Strawberry pie as perfect. The pastry is the best I've had and the strawberry wasn't used exclusively to allow the rhubarb to shine. The peach pie was also very nice, not too sweet and fresh tasting. The savory pies were available for tasting and I will certainly be back for some of those.
Saskatoon pie purchased for uncles 90th birthday. He was raised on them as a prairie boy and loves them. Most fruit pies are best cold so that is how I served it. To say it was dreadful and embarrassing to serve is a tremendous understatement. To cut down on the number of berries in the pie, a thickening agent is used and you end up having the odd Saskatoon berry encased in a gelatinous repulsive sauce. Heating it up should have just made the goop warm instead. Truly the worst pie I have ever tried as we all put it to the side of our plate and didn’t finish it. Just an epic fail at an important event and as a dessert item.. Disappointing doesn’t to it justice..
I really like their soups and most of the pies. The Taco pie is a little too Taco spice for me as it tastes just like the Taco powder mix, if they would tame down how much powder they put in them they would be much better.
Bought pies for years from this establishment. This current location started out well a year or two ago. Stopped by recently to get some meat pies. The whole inside of the location was disgusting, just an absolute mess. Dirty, messy countertops that looked like a tornado had gone through it. Plexi barriers were covered with greasy skin imprints. All the produce section was empty. Not going to be returning.
While reading about the Calgary Farmers Market next door, we also read a recommendation to stop by here and get a Saskatoon Berry Pie. We like trying things we can't find at home so we stopped in and got a pie to take to our hotel to eat later. Our hotel room didn't have a microwave so we ended up eating the pie at room temperature, which was still fine. The pie was really sweet but also very filling, even though it looked small. We're glad we got to try their pie.
