Just had a wonderful home cooked meal by Faye. What a wonderful businesswoman she is and so hospitable. Highly recommend this restaurant both she and the food are amazing.….yes i finished my roti.

This review is more of a question. I went down to the restaurant the other day and ordered the jerk chicken. Chicken and sauce was good, however, the chicken did not seem like jerk chicken. Nor the sauce. When i was at their booth at the food festival last year, the sauce was being sold in bottles and it was so good. Perfect jerk. This time the chicken seemed more like cut up rotisserie breast pieces with a sweet sauce just poured over it with barely any heat that was more like a bbq sauce.So my question then, is there a better time to show up during the day to get actual blackened roasted jerk chicken legs with that hallmark jerk spice and flavour, rather than what appears to be rotisserie or poached breast pieces with a sauce poured over them?Something like the pictures attached

If I could give 10 stars I would! Very delicious food. Ordered the curry chicken and fried plantain with a ginger beer. Would definitely come back again and again if I lived in Calgary.

I’ve lived near this place for a while and every time I pass it smells amazing. I’ve been wanting to try for a while and finally did so today. The food was delicious. I had the jerk tofu, it was so yummy and the veggies too! Wow. The lady who served us was so kind and sweet. The portions are large as mentioned before, so I had it for dinner too! Will most definitely be back!

Faye is the BEST! So lovely and makes the most delicious food! My favorite is the chickpea Patties, which have an actual name, but I can’t remember what that name is, possibly “doubles” but everything is delicious! So much flavour in every bite!

Awesome experience and the food is amazing! You gotta try the jerk chicken. They also have jerk chicken wings and their patties are to die for. Loved this place! It's a regular spot for me now. However, they only do take out until spring time when you can dine-in.
I called to ask about the menu since items get sold out quickly and was met with unwarranted rudeness, food is great but service could be better.

I just recently returned from a trip to Toronto where you can find a solid beef patty on every corner. While that may not be the case in Calgary, you can count on Simply Irie to fulfill your craving any day. The spicy beef patty is one of the best I have ever tried; crispy, flaky crust and a perfectly spiced filling with a mouthfeel to match.To make things even better, we met Faye (possibly the owner) and she was extremely kind and welcoming. Being that she is also originally from Toronto, there was an instant connection.If you get a chance, do stop by. We can't wait to come back and sit down for a full meal-- I don't doubt that Simply Irie will quickly become a household go-to.

They should change the name to extraordinary Irie. Its not simple whatsoever. The food exceeded my expectations. Its was so good. The Oxtail piece were bigger compared to others. The Jerk chicken was flavourful and juicy. The customer service was TOP NOTCH. Faye was amazing. Highly recommend buying their inhouse hot sauce ? its not vinegary and perfect amount of spicy. Too bad i cant this food in Toronto.

Okay ? so I’m pregnant and been craving roti and doubles for so long after having a poor experience at another restaurant I was recommended to come here, and man was I happy!! The doubles are amazing!!!!! And the lamb roti we had was huge and well filled!!! We generally just buy one as my husband and I share and it’s a perfect size for the two of us!! Great service as well!!! Thanks guys ???
