First time eating there was pleasantly surprised by the variety of drink options. All staff were extremely kind. Food was delicious and great portion sizes.

Was down to watch my son's football game and 12 of us came for dinner. Everything was sooo good. Loved the Mac pie with brisket. We all loved it and will be back when we visit Calgary again ❤️

Our group had a great time and absolutely loved the food. The drink options were good as well. We stayed to watch a live band and it wasn't overwhelming loud, which was perfect. Our server was very attentive and did a great job.

There's a few things we love about South Block, and there are some things that seem to be getting worse. The atmosphere and service is always very good and friendly, we've always had great service. This was no different. The beers and cocktails are spectacular 10/10. The food was the big let down this time. Brisket was good, but not quite as good as we'd expect, the ribs were chewy and not tender, and temperature wise they were not even warm when they arrived. By far our favorite is the collards and beans side, which always seems to be great. The disappointment with the meat is a bit of a let down because it should really be the star of the show, but instead it was just mediocre.

We had a group of 14+ people and the staff were wonderful! We were there on a relatively quiet Saturday afternoon, and the staff were very accommodating of our group shuffling around, entertaining toddlers, and dividing up bills. The food and beer are always excellent and it's not too noisy. South Block was a perfect place to catch up with friends after being away from Calgary for a year, I definitely recommend it!

We've been to South Block Barbecue & Brewing Co. three times and it is consistently fabulous! Love the food and the beer brewed there and we would definitely continue to come back when we visit Calgary.

Really good BBQ, amazing choice of Bourbons, some good beers, live music and a patio. Perfect way to spend a warm Saturday evening.

Just wanted to say we drove from Vancouver Island BC today and after we checked in to our hotel we walked over. I wanted to visit last time here and never got the chance. It was priority #1 this trip and couldn't be happier. 1st! And most important! CARRIE WAS AMAZING! FRIENDLY ATTENTIVE QUICK EXPLAINED THE PROCESS TO THE TWO NEWBIES, DUSCUSSED EVERYTHING WE ASKED AND DID NOT MAKE US FEEL RUSHED. YOU ARE LUCKY TO HAVE HER! SHE MADE THE PLACE FEEL LIKE WE WERE AT A 5STAR RESTAURANT. We were in Vegas a few weeks ago and Carrie gave the same if not better service than we had at Hells Kitchen. Please thank her from us! Dinner did not disappoint! Blueberry burnt ends? Cmon ! Awesome! Brisket turkey shrimp each were fantastic. That vinegar sauce? Feel free to ship me a bottle or a case! Lol. I do smoking meats etc and I get the craft. I enjoyed it all and I get picky!. Thanks from Vancouver Island BC!

Love it! Food is great and comes very quickly. Service is friendly and always accommodating. Fun vibe. I don't usually see little kids here but mine love the place. That the food comes so quickly, is served family style and the place is laid back and fun makes it great for big groups and families.

Ordered take out ,wasn't sure what to expect.
Food was excellent, fast delivery. Will go there in the future. Brisket, black ends,pork belly couple sides. All were just perfect.

Finally! Brisket that isn't dry! Food was excellent. My wife and I ordered brisket, ribs and smoked wings. I'd recommend them all. And the house mustard is amazing. Perfect for the brisket.

Service was a bit slow though. At one stage one of us at our table had to get up and walk to the other side to get our server to come over.

Great place. Very loud environment. Great food, albeit pricey, but a good time. Kid friendly and service was fantastic. I'd recommend this place for sure.

All the food came out before my drinks (2 beer and 2 pop, not crafted cocktails which do require time to make). I had about an inch or so left of beer in my glass and it was taken away so quickly, I mean I wasn't done. Been here many times, the food was just ok this time.

Delicious BBQ in this fantastic Calgary downtown! Live music was a plus here
