Absolutely loved it and will be back! This is some of the best Mexican food in Calgary, by far. Amongst 4 of us we tried a variety of things: Empanadas (the texture on these was divine! Crispy on the outside and pillowy soft on the inside), Flautas (so good! Top 3 for sure. So much more flavorful than most flautas we’ve had), Queso Fundido (simple yet delicious), and the street tacos which were made with the best corn tortillas I’ve ever had. Had a great date night with my husband here. Casual atmosphere with awesome food. $2 beef tongue tacos were on point and the margaritas made me feel like I was back in Cancun. We will be back.

I have been going to Spicy Amigo's since they opened on a regular basis. Food is always very good but things have changed. It used to be a bar type where you choose your toppings and now they don't do that. They up charge on drizzle toppings where it all used to be included. It looks like ownership might has changed. Prices have gone up substantially and less toppings. Still enjoy the food but go there less because of it.
