I’ve been coming to Spiros on 17th for years, and it’s no surprise this family-run treasure has been a staple since 1969. Nestled at the corner of 33rd Street and 17th Ave SW, Spiros is hands-down the best spot in Calgary for pizza and Greek food. Spiros is quite easily one of my favourite restaurants. The food is to die for. Authentic Greek. If you’re lucky enough to catch a seasonal special, take full advantage. I had the best lamb of my life there last year on special— it literally melted in my mouth. Most of their menu can be made gluten free and they are very accommodating of that dietary need.
