Stacked Pancake & Breakfast House Shawnessy

I’m putting a review of their business online. This is what I said; Busyness may soon end your business. I was humiliated being asked to leave and make room for other people after our group had eaten our meals and coffee’s spending over $70 and were visiting just over an hour and 20 minutes. This does not have the appearance of a fast food establishment. A table cleaner asked our party to leave the restaurant and though we were winding up this unpleasant experience will not entice me back. If the demand for our table was so urgent a manager should’ve offered our table a certificate towards our next visit, if they had wanted to accommodate a lineup. However it was put upon a table cleaning attendant to ask us to leave. Your lack in Business etiquette could end your busyness. I will not recommend your business

Went there with 3 friends at 12 noon on a Sunday with no reservations. Place was packed but they said about a 15-20 minute wait. They were pretty true to their word. Waitress was quick to approach us (sorry I didn't get her name). Ordered our food and did not wait long at all for our food to be ready. Food was phenomenal! Each of us ordered different things and there was not one complaint. Highly recommend.

Service was fast and the staff were friendly! Food was excellent!! Didn’t have to wait for a table but started to get really busy with long wait times after 30 mins of sitting

Our utensils were dirty. Server brought us new ones but they were also dirty. They had food and finger prints on them. When we complained the owner blamed his staff and said he would give them an extra 5 mins to make sure they are clean. He didn’t seem to really care. It was a terrible experience. I was sick for 2 days from eating there. I won’t go back. This was at the saint john, Lancaster location.

Stacked Carlingwood Mall Ottawa, great food, great service. Need better windows (only available seat was beside window, where it felt like a constant 10C breeze.). Get better all weather windows and the place will be perfect!

Great food, good portion size, fair prices compared to other places but still too high if you ask me. The burgers are hand ground and made.
We go there often and buy gift cards to give to friends and family as we think it' that good. It does get busy, especially on the weekend.

Disappointed on your grand opening day (they’ve actually been open a couple of months, and not my first time here). Sign and all ads say 50% off entire menu (except sides), yet we were charged full price for 4 Orange Juices (not told they charged for refills, she just offered), plus full price on the coffee as well.
Anyways, food is fine, service took a bit, food came very quickly, but it’s quite tight in there for a couple of big guys.
Having eaten at 2 other Stacked in the city, they were better. Hopefully this one comes around to where the others are at.
Solid 4 stars.

Food had great taste and service was above and beyond. The staff actually looked like they wanted to be here. Maybe that’s why great service. Shaylinn was our server and she was on the ball with fast hot food.
Impressed that soon as we were seated the hostess brought us coffee.
This is not an over priced place. And coffee was great tasting

I visited yesterday with my partner and her elderly grandfather and first and foremost I would like to praise them on how fast they turn around tables as we were seated within 5-10 mins - which was the quoted time. Unfortunately we found our seating position in the restaurant to be quite cold but nevertheless the service was excellent and our server Rachel attended to our every need and had patience with the elderly gentleman with us. What intrigued me was how quickly the food was served, possibly too quickly…

When I received my food which was the jumbo breakfast I think it was called, my scrambled eggs were only luke warm and cold in places along with the sausages which was strange because it probably only took 5 mins or less for the food to come out so it can’t of been sat for long, if at all. The potatoes were hot but the meat and eggs colder which was quite baffling. Anyways the meal was of average quality but there was something off about my eggs - a synthetic like taste. Anyhow, we paid our bill which I thought was very reasonable compared to other breakfast chains.

Here is the nasty part… around 1 - 2 hours after leaving my stomach was a mess and I ultimately ended up throwing up my meal 🥴 I can’t put it down to anything else as that was my first meal of the day and it wasn’t anything I wouldn’t usually eat at any breakfast spot. It is now the day after and I have still not been able to consume any food as my stomach is in such a bad state. I’m not sure if it was the eggs I had consumed as they stuck out to me as having a strange taste but I still am skeptical about how fast the food arrived leading me to think that it was possibly pre cooked / reheated eggs and or meat to allow them to service us so quickly. The other 2 people I was with had a nice meal and no issues but they had very different food Items than myself.

I would like to give STACKED another chance with their signature pancakes but I think I will be avoiding the eggs and meat next time.

I love this place. An absolutely unbelievable breakfast special! I probably go here 6 times a month.

The coffee is subpar. But the rest is great!
