Honestly, nice staff but expect to wait in the drive thru for 10-15 mins.

This has been my regular location for years, but unfortunately the quality of the drinks has recently been below expectations. The iced latte I received today tasted more like flavoured milk than coffee. It seems that recent staff changes may have impacted the consistency and overall quality of service at this location.

Super slow to make a decaf pour over 25 mins then when I got it was cold ..any other location 6 mins and its hot ..this location needs to train the kids on proper customer service and get the drinks out to them faster and hit

I entered the shop a few minutes ago, and waited for 10 minutes in front of the counter. 3 staff were busy, 2 young ladies, and 1 young gentleman. The young gentleman was looking at me out of the corner of his eye. I decided to leave the shop. Thank you Starbucks

Hello Amanda,

On 6 Dec 2025 (Saturday), my mother and I entered the drive-thru at the 83 Bowridge Dr NW, Calgary location. We ordered a decaf coffee for my elderly mother, who has a medical condition and cannot consume caffeine. After a long wait in line, we ordered and approached the window. After paying with a credit card and adding a $5 tip, the server (Cassidy) then told us that there was no decaf available and offered a caffeinated version of the beverage instead. I told Cassidy that my mother cannot drink regular coffee due to a medical condition. Cassidy looked flustered, so I told her I'd park and enter the store to discuss the problem. When I entered the store, Cassidy ignored me and continued to serve other customers. I eventually flagged Emma, who rudely told me that the decaf machine was broken (the repair tech was working on the machine at the time). Emma then refunded the coffee amount but refused to refund the tip. She told me (using a poor tone of voice) that she would not refund the tip and that my mother would have to go to her bank and have the charge reversed. She then gave me a four dollar gift card. I wrote down the names of the employees involved, picked up your business card, and then left.

My questions are: why did Cassidy charge my mom's credit card when she knew that the decaf machine was broken? The tech was right there, fixing the machine. Why did Emma treat me so rudely when I had a legitimate concern? Why didn't the full amount get refunded? Why did Emma only offer me a $4 gift card, when the tip amount was $5? My mother tipped almost 100% of the purchase price out of good will, which resulted in poor service and rude responses.

Don't order ahead of you're ordering regular coffee!! They ignore those in favour of the specialty drinks and so you can't rely on your coffee being ready otherwise.

Always great customer service here! They know exactly how to make my drink, and are very kind and personable. It’s often busy (probably cause of the location being on the way to the mountains) but ordering ahead is a lifesaver.
