Not a great day experience - martini came with lemon syrup and olives- weird. Cobb salad had tasteless bacon and no blue cheese. The spicy poke bowl was almost too spicy for someone who loves very spicy food. The server was gracious and helpful, but the food and drink disappointing.

Food is really nice, service is also great. The improvement required is ensuring the restaurant is well cleaned. I sat close to the door and at the base of all the wall white wall tiles had black in between the tiles.

Pretzel bites and superb. Shrimp and chicken noodle bowl excellent but would like more larger shrimp. Our server was excellent.

My first time @ State & Main in Nolan Hill, Calgary. Loved the Pistachio Crusted Salmon with mashed potatoes & asparagus!! Would return just to have that dish again! 😊👍🏻

Cocktails - Margarita - good Calamari plate -very good with great selection of items not just calamari Meal - Honey glazed Cajun chicken with asparagus and mashed potatoes-good but I would have liked it with a little more Cajun seasoning Dessert - Creme Bluie - good like the strawberry addition to it Big bouquets to our waitress, she was great at making sure we were all taken care of and was very friendly and polite.

Dear god. One of the worst dining experiences of our lives, sorry to say. I did not realize this was a children's restaurant that allowed adults. If you are a parent, who is immune and deaf to your toddler's constant screaming and high-pitched ear piecing screeching, and have no issue with your darling infant constantly climbing over their seat to the people's seat behind, because you left your consideration for other diners at home, then this is the place for you. Hot tip for the restaurant - when you have an entire section with no kids/toddlers/babies, and customers who have no children, how about, and this is just a thought, how about you put the grown ups in the grown up section, where there are no screeching toddlers who climb over to your seat and cough all over your food, coz their parents could care less. Maybe don't put grown ups with no children in the “family” section, when you have a plethora of other seating with no screaming toddlers. Also - worst steak we've ever experienced. This thing looked ill. Chewy, fatty, just disturbingly unappetizing. For the price, we could have gone to so many other places and had so much better a steak. I don't know where you get your steaks from, but honestly, it's like you've given up. Look, if you're gonna be a slightly upmarket version of a McDonalds catering for tiny humans, no problem. Stick on a kiddies menu, get some crayons, and away you go. Just don't fool people into thinking it's a going to be a decent dining experience and charge for the pleasure. Not so much State and Main, rather Steak is Lame. With screeching toddlers and feckless parents to boot.

The valentine dinner was a great selection of dishes as well as more then enough to fill us up. been going to S & M for 5+ years and have not had a bad experience. Keep up the great work.

Went with very little expectations. Food Service Ambience all great. Menu was kind of too small in terms of options, and not very clear to read may be its my vision. But food was great Flatbread. Calamari and Honeyglazed Chicken with Sautéed veggies were really tasty. Missed trying out their famous fish n chips next time French fries were super yummy ?

Ordered the spicy Thai noodle salad which was soggy and flavorless, the truffle and shrimp rigatoni which was bland and just not good, and the bang bang shrimp which were the only thing that was edible and even at that the tempura was soggy and the shrimp are the small guys rather than how the picture portrays them. Had we been dining in, I would have sent it back to the kitchen.
