I had a very disappointing experience on November 15th when my two friends and I tried to use our airline meal vouchers (CAD $15 per person, total $45). We ordered about $33 worth of food, and no one informed us that we still had a balance left.

When we tried to order some drinks afterward, the staff suddenly told us “we’re done”, without explaining anything. One Asian female staff member spoke to us with a very rude attitude no explanation, no apology, nothing. It felt like we were being pushed away rather than helped.

Honestly, it made us question whether the staff there had received any proper training. Only 5 meters away, the Japanese restaurant handled the exact same meal vouchers for us before, and they always tell customers how much money is left so you know what else you can order. That’s basic customer service.

But here, not only did they fail to tell us the balance, they also acted annoyed when we simply asked about it. The whole interaction felt unprofessional, dismissive, and honestly, quite disrespectful.

This experience left a very bad impression. I hope management seriously looks into this, because customers deserve clear communication and basic courtesy not confusion and attitude.

Workers didn't understand English. Bread was so dry and disgusting. Prices are outrageous!!!! Charged me $14 for a 6 inch sub.

I ordered a blt snack sandwich. The bun was a ciabatta and it was comparable in size to a large Kaiser bun. They asked if I wanted it toasted. I said yes. They then took the three strips of paper thin see- through bacon and wadded it up in the middle of the bun. Then the woman went to grab lettuce that was brown and slimey looking. I said no thank you, I will have cucumber in it's place. She only allowed me to have two tiny slices of cucumber and the wadded that in the centre. I asked for tomato, silly me thinking the tomato was obvious, and there were lovely plump slices waiting. I did not get those. The woman found the two smaller slices, the size of a looney coin and put those on top of the rest. Then I asked for the mayo. She barely gave me a tsp and closed it up. So, essentially there minimal ingredients pile in the center and a 1 inch section around the pile was dry stodgy bun. I piled the ingredients on one side to feel like I ate something. I asked if I was able to get a regular kind of blt sando and she just said no. I used to be a sandwich artist. Sandos with buns this size got 4 pieces of paper thin bacon to make people feel like they had eaten some proper protein. They added extra because they knew their bacon was substandard. This was not fabulous at all.

Super slow to serve people, no order of paying attention to a customer and then moving on. I was just stuck in the middle watching orders be finished and new orders taken while my sub just sat half made. I’ve never seen people move slower.

I had a disappointing experience at the Subway located in Calgary Airport. The staff seemed very unfriendly and impatient. While placing my order, I felt rushed and was given the impression that I was taking too long to decide. Their tone and body language made me feel uncomfortable. As a traveler, I was expecting a more welcoming and polite service, especially at an international airport.

The quality of the sandwiches are completely OK considering the price! You shouldn't forget that you are also at an airport. Don't understand the bad reviews here. The staff wears gloves, masks and caps, which is not seen at most restaurants in Canada.

Was told at 1035 pm that they were closed. I asked them why it said they closed at 11 pm online and was told they close at 1035 to take everything down.

I understand being a busy location but my experience was not the result of a rushed service but straight up rude and incompetent. Short young possibly filipino man takes my order. The girl ahead of me gave me a look of annoyance because he made her sandwhich messy and when she asked him to help put the contents inside better he just stated blankly at her. I thought maybe she was over reacting but then it was my turn. He asks if I want spinach, I say no as I just watched him throw some of it back from her sandwchich after she said “only a little” and he put a whole wad. I don’t want the chicken contaminated spinach yet he puts it on my sandwhich anyway.
I ask him if he can put only 3 slices of tomatoes, he proceeds to put double that. When putting my sauces he throws the sauces back into it’s spot aggressively… okay?
Is it really that hard to not be rude and sloppy and follow instructions… maybe he shouldn’t be dealing with customers face on.

edit 3 weeks later:
oh my god if y’all don’t fire this man he may kill someone. once again same short filipino kid with glasses in terminal D. i ask him if those are spicy peppers or regular and he goes yup spicy and sprinkles it all over my sandwich. are you stupid? i asked you a question maybe answer it first before you put it all over my food.
