Sumo Grill Japanese Restaurant

This restaurant is my preferred one. I visit a lot of restaurants but to this place I keep coming back again and again. The crew is very chummy and the cooking they cook is so appetizing. I am always happy to have a good meal here. I highly recommend this place.

I tried this spot once with my friend and I am addicted ever since. I enjoyed the fantastic atmosphere and flavorful dishes and beverages. They never disappoint.

This spot never fails to deliver. They have excellent dishes for convenient prices, there no long wait even when the spot is loaded.

Come here for their ramen special! I’m a pescatarian so I get the tempura ramen - a large bowl of ramen with a plate of assorted tempura on the side for only $11! A great deal, my man and I love it here for cheap lunch dates.

Insanely over priced, their mango bubble tea tasted rotten, tried to use a coupon and they didn’t accept it! :( typically I love Japanese good and don’t ever post complaints but this restaurant was not good. The was absolutely zero flavour to the soup as well. I will never eat there again. So many other great Japanese places that are way better in Calgary. Avoid this one.

I love my quiet lunches here .. the same staff have been here for years. They always accommodate my picky requests of extra hot soup, extra salad dressing and no fish eggs.. the sashimi is not the best I've ever had but over all it's a good lunch spot.

Food tasted great. The mushroom tempura was awesome and the katsu was super tasty

Make sure your orders served correctly. Once my family came here I ordered meals and drinks. They served drink for my wife first I thought mine would be next but I waited and we almost finished our meal..until I asked the waitress about my drink. Then another 10' later my drink served. Sure that they lost cutomers!

I love coming here. All the staff is amazing and the food is delicious. Anna is the best and she always makes sure that everyone is taken care of. Amazing service.

The place is awesome and broad, the menu was delicious and the rates were very reasonable. quick, efficient service and very friendly staff. I recommend this place.

I've been coming to this restuarant since I was young, and I love it every time. The staff are always friendly and welcoming and I love the food. Good price point too

two days ago was our first time we came to that good restaurant. But It is no doubt not the last. We had a good time with the efficient service, with the finest meal and booze and with the modest pay. We will absolutely go back there soon.

We have been visiting this place for about 4 years. The food is always fresh and tastes great with attentive and smiling staff. Prices are generally reasonable.

I ordered through skip the dishes, but my order was rejected by the restaurant, so I placed another order, shortly after my order arrives. I realized that the rejected order was processed and so was the second one. I contacted skip through their chat and they refused to refund me, so I called the restaurant and spoke to a very rude woman. She kept speaking over me and accused me of being angry. I understand they don't receive the money right away but the fact that she refused to allow me to explain the situation, and said I was angry, granted I was frustrated, really bothered me. If I was in the restaurant and there was an issue would she treat me like this? Would she just constantly talk over me instead of hearing me out? They also use styrofoam for takeout packaging. It is really a shame I really like their food, but I will never eat or order from this restaurant, there are other Japanese restaurants that treat their customers fairly and with kindness

This is absolutely one of the most pleasant place to eat in the neighborhood. Always when I visit this place I am truly happy. They hold their very high level service and the topmost level of cooking they offer. You no doubt will love this place. Highly recommended.
