Got there when it opened at 5pm and the men’s washroom was disgusting, obviously hadn’t been cleaned. Service was exceptional slow. Food was just okay. Not bad, not great and way too expensive. Absolutely not worth the price. Wouldn’t give this place a second chance.
Great food. Sorry no pics.
Hands down, the BEST sushi in Calgary! The fish-to-rice ratio is incredible—10/10. The food is always fresh, and the staff are super friendly.
Would highly recommend Zipang for an authentic sushi experience!
Delicious sushi, well priced. 5 stars.
Great sushi at a reasonable price. The shrimp tempura here was one of the best I had. The chef was kind enough to work extra hours on the busy 14th February.

Had dinner on one of the busiest nights and enjoyed very good food & service. Their fish are traditional, generous sized slices. The sushi rice is appropriately seasoned. All the fish were great quality.
A subpar item was the tempura batter. It was clumpy and not frizzled as it should be in appearance but still light and crispy.
We enjoyed coming here over the years and will continue to return.
Highly recommended sushi place.
I’ve been going to this restaurant for about 20 years. I don’t get to go as often as I would like lately but their food is delicious and very authentic.
Hands down best sushi In calgary. Authentic Japanese like you get in Japan. You can tell the sushi chef is a master who probably had to form only rice for 4 years before touching a knife.
Real Wasabi no horseradish. Best Wasabi, best ginger , best soy , best chefs, who cares if thr service isn't 5 stars the food is.
If you like more of a fusion sushi go somewhere else.
Amazing food and staff, easily the best Japanese food in Calgary.
Myself and my husband have been here 3x and it never disappoints! Food is delicious and service is great! Thank you!

Always my favourite spot! Best fish in town!
Great experience my daughter was and I had a wonderful night great food and extra bonus dessert will be back again!!
The prices are quite high, but I have no doubt the food is excellent, but at these prices I opted out. It's important to note that the freshness of the seafood can vary significantly depending on the day it arrives, which can greatly impact your dining experience.
At 6 pm, the restaurant had a calm atmosphere with just three other patrons. However, I found the menu prices to be a bit higher than I expected, which influenced my decision to dine elsewhere.
The establishment was generally clean, though the food-stained paper dividers between some tables stood out as an issue. The background music selection is a mix of contemporary jazz that leans toward elevator and hotel lounge vibes.
The waiter’s condescending attitude when I mentioned I couldn’t afford a full meal was quite frustrating, especially when he insinuated that I could at least have a roll. I also noticed additional staff laughing and making jokes at my expense. Given this experience, I feel it is only reasonable to take my business elsewhere.
In the landscape of dining, sometimes you encounter a mix of experiences. The good news is that Calgary boasts a diverse array of Japanese restaurants, offering plenty of options to explore and enjoy.
One day, I might return when I can splurge over $100 on a full meal. Let's be honest—six pieces of sashimi for $20 won't cut it; it’ll only leave my pockets feeling light and hungry!
Nice Japanese restaurant in the Bridgeland area. I'm a Japanese food lover and I think the taste is good. Too bad that there was only 1 server and 1 Chef who had to cook and come to help serve as well. It would be better if they had more staff and might have had all the services faster.

My wife and I had a great dinner Zipang. The staff were friendly and food was great.
The owner even gave my wife and I a bowl of vanilla ice cream with matcha powder on the house. Really thoughtful gesture.
Would definitely recommend Zipang to anyone looking for a good sushi night.
Thanks!
