This is my absolute FAVOURITE place for sushi and Japanese food in Calgary. The quality is impeccable, the staff absolutely incredible, the vibe soothing and calm and totally lovely. I simply can’t say enough good things about this place. I literally come 2-3 times a week. And will keep doing so.
A Bridgeland and Calgary and Canadian gem!!!! I come alone, I come with friends, I come with my kids. Always the best.

Had an amazing lunch experience celebrating my wife’s birthday! The sushi was incredibly fresh, the presentation was beautiful, and the customer service was top-notch! Welcoming, attentive, and thoughtful throughout.
We finished with their banana tempura dessert topped with green tea ice cream, whipped cream, and chocolate drizzle — the perfect sweet ending to a perfect meal. 🍣🍌🍨
Highly recommend this place for a quality sushi lunch and memorable service. We’ll definitely be back!
Thanks Chef!

The sushi rice has a good texture but under seasoned. Rolls were made pretty carelessly. The miso soup is not good quality. They also over charge for their lunch special considering how little food was served. Not a good price. Overall disappointed considering the good reviews from this place.

Fish quality wasn't that great and the mayo wasn't proper kewpie mayo (looked very white under the lights) so have the sushi a weird taste.

Fish freshness was average. We did come late in the day but the rice seemed old and unevenly seasoned with a but too much vinegar and salt on most of the sushi rice. They used a different mayo than the standard kewpie mayo that I personally wasnt a big fan of but i can see tastes differing on that.
Udon was fine. Decent quality noodles.
Probably closer to a 2.5

Got there when it opened at 5pm and the men’s washroom was disgusting, obviously hadn’t been cleaned. Service was exceptional slow. Food was just okay. Not bad, not great and way too expensive. Absolutely not worth the price. Wouldn’t give this place a second chance.

Great food. Sorry no pics.
Hands down, the BEST sushi in Calgary! The fish-to-rice ratio is incredible—10/10. The food is always fresh, and the staff are super friendly.
Would highly recommend Zipang for an authentic sushi experience!
Delicious sushi, well priced. 5 stars.
Great sushi at a reasonable price. The shrimp tempura here was one of the best I had. The chef was kind enough to work extra hours on the busy 14th February.
