Just had dinner here and food is meh, for the price of the sushi and sashimi you can definitely find better. The quality of the sushi is Kinjo quality but they charge good sushi prices.

Fun fact my parents started this restaurant over 20 years ago. It was among the first restaurants to have a koi pond and floating sushi bar. So happy to see that more than 20 years later it is kept in great condition and well loved. Food is excellent.

The restaurant is a really nice little spot, and the staff were amazing. Some food we had like the tempura, takoyaki, and sashimi were really great but unfortunately the rolls we had were awful. The tuna inside the roles was mushy and stringy. So stringy that the fish was too chewy to eat.

We brought this to our servers attention who told the manager, both of whom were super nice about the situation. They removed the tuna rolls from our bill which was great, and asked us if we would like anything else but our appetite was shot.

The biggest issue I had wasn’t even with quality, but the pop I ordered. It’s $3 for a fountain pop which comes in a tiny glass full of ice so you get 3-4 sips before it’s gone. When they asked if I wanted a refill they mentioned it’s an additional dollar, but we had just ordered our food so I obliged so I could have a drink with food. Fountain pop costs so little I was put off by how much they charge for it.

The staff were so friendly and attentive that they almost made up for the other issues. We thought we were treated really fair but overall left disappointed.
