This used be our go to sushi place. But tonight was disappointing enough that is it unlikely we will be back. We sat for over 40 minutes before our table began receiving items. When the nigiri finally arrived 75% of it was served frozen, we mentioned to the staff and all we were offered was a weak apology. When the next dish came frozen again no effort to rectify. Finally we had to say ”please do not bring us any more frozen items” If you are not able to serve items in a timely and edible manner you should inform customers “this item is served from frozen, are you willing to wait” or say it unavailable.
My son had been looking forward to this for months as we are visiting from Texas but used to live in Calgary. We all left disappointed

Deep fried appetizers- all items were stale, felt like they re-heated shrimp tempura… awful stale taste , had to rip off the batter to to be able to consume it.
Sushi Rolls, felt like they were prepped before hand and left in the fridge, the rice was hard and cold. It was definitely not made fresh.
The nigiri’s - salmon was okay, but anything else, ie. tuna were not great you can taste that it’s still frozen which didn’t make it appetizing
Grilled items - skewers were not good, and had a strange texture. The beef short ribs, were the only decent item, even then it was very rubbery, felt like they pan fried it instead of grilling them.
Came from out of town to take the family out, would not recommend.

If you are an economy sushi pig like me, this place is great. Fast for a day then come for their extensive All You Can Eat menu, in which a number of cooked items are available. The kids love it for the Ginger Beef and All You Can Eat Jello. If you are looking for upscale / boutique sushi, they have a few neat rolls, but otherwise it's your standard quality.
