The service was really poor. I left frustrated because when I was the only one dining in the restaurant, the server went to laugh and conversate with staff at the back for half an hour (yes I checked) and basically left me with no one to ask when I needed something. For the amount of sushi options in Calgary, I decided not to ever come back just for the fact that I can find options with better service elsewhere.

Sushi Kimu is now one of my favorite go-to spots for sushi. The food, service, and atmosphere are just as amazing. The staff were very friendly and attentive, the service is quick, and the pricing is very reasonable for the quality you get. Most importantly, the sushi is consistently fresh, authentic, and absolutely delicious. I would highly recommend Sushi Kimu to anyone looking for a top-quality Japanese dining experience. It’s without a doubt one of the best sushi restaurants in Calgary!

Absolutely fantastic! The food at Kimu is several levels above the popular chain sushi places we had been going before.
The portions were larger than expected, the freshness is very palpable, and the presentation is very pleasing to the eyes and mouth!
The staff were exceedingly friendly, courteous, and helpful.
If you are interested in excellent sushi and sashimi, Kimu is the place to go.
UPDATE: As appears to often be the case, many establishments can be hit and miss. NOT the case here. Our third visit is excellent on every level. My distended abdomen speaks volumes to the irresistible selections!
absolutely amazing I love coming here all the time now it’s honestly the best sushi place in this area I’ve tried the ones down towards downtown and they all just suck and aren’t as good as kimu!! I’m so glad I tried this place out. Their food is super fresh and healthy The portions are amazing for the price I can barely fit them in my mouth 😂 and the people are very nice.

my family has been getting food from this place since I was 10 and it still hits the same after all these years! I went for lunch with my sister for my 16th birthday today and the food was so delicious plus the service was super fast and friendly. We got the gyoza, ton katsu and chicken teriyaki rolls and they were super tasty I would highly recommend this place. The music they have is also super nice and relaxing
