Disappointing Experience at Tacos Mexico
I recently visited Tacos Mexico in Calgary, and unfortunately, my experience was far from pleasant. To put it simply, the food was horrible. The tacos lacked freshness, with dry, bland tortillas that tasted stale. The meat was overcooked and chewy, and the seasoning was nearly non-existent, leaving the dishes flavorless and unappetizing. Even the toppings, which should have added some vibrancy and zest, were limp and uninspired.
The chorizo queso was a disgusting letdown, with watery and bland meat that offered no punch. I hoped the sides of the burrito dish would redeem the meal, but the rice was undercooked, and the beans tasted as if they came straight out of a can. The portions were small, and given the low quality of the food, it felt like a waste of money specially is this inflated economy we are all experiencing.
Overall, it was a disappointing dining experience, and I would not recommend Tacos Mexico to anyone looking for authentic or even remotely tasty Mexican cuisine. I left unsatisfied and wishing I had chosen to eat somewhere else.

As a regular at the memorial location I was super excited to try this location because the memorial location is absolutely amazing, but it can be kind of busy sometimes. Unfortunately I just didn’t have the best experience here, service wasn’t great, atmosphere was okay but not in comparison to memorial, and the food didn’t taste as good as it does at Memorial. The fish tacos were very dry.
I really hope this location can up their game a bit, because Memorial is sooo amazing and I was so excited to hear that they were expanding!!

pls save ur time and don’t go here. first of all, the lady that served us was obviously preoccupied and upset with something else going on behind the scenes and barely acknowledged us when we first came through the door. we asked to get drinks on the menu and she said that they weren’t serving any of them except the pop, the pop was so watered down and a waste of money - nachos were also not good, it just looked like someone threw a bunch of stuff onto the chips. the tacos were okay but i would never come back here and would rather go to the other location.

Unfortunately for two visits we have experienced poor service, forgotten items, have to ask for everything or reorder. We didn’t get water for 30 minutes. The other location does it better.

Tacos Del Rey was a disappointment, the meat is super dry and flavourless. They also neglected my request to put the bacon on the side, instead they removed the bacon completely.
The nachos were also bad.
This place didn’t really live up to the hype.
Waste of money.

First thing I'll say is the food was delicious. Thats about all this place has going for it. The service on the other hands was terrible!!!! We waited 45mins for a glass of water, after asking twice. Our appetizer was the chips dish, so pretty basic. That took 50mins to come to the table. If it was busy, maybe. Ok. But it wasnt and this is the 2nd time we've been, gave them a second chance but unfortunately,
it was exactly the same service. We won't be back.

I came here after climbing and had an amazing meal! Can’t recommend enough the tacos - especially Al Pastor. Also had the Chicharron and Beef Chipotle tacos (you get 3 choices in the street taco plate and 6 total) - they were also very very good but the Al Pastor stood out. Service was very kind and attentive. Interiors feel so different and friendly compared to the look from the exterior. Love the string lights and terracotta floors. Definitely bringing more friends next time!

If I could have finished all 6 of these tacos, I would have! They were so delicious and so filling - highly recommend coming here with an appetite ? the asada taco was my favourite but I wasn’t disappointed with the carnita or the fish taco!

Probably the worst mexican food I've ever had. Carne asada was unseasoned. Chicharrones are pork rinds from a bag. Beans were sour. Very disappointed.

Got dinner with 3 of my friends; the food was excellent. We got the chicken quesadillas, barbacoa tacos, Quattro and the chimichangas. All delicious and very reasonably priced, service was insanely fast and all the staff were really nice and accommodating!
Space is a little small but definitely adds to the atmosphere and more homey feel.

Overall it was okay. The Restaurant is understaffed so be ready to wait for your order. This is authentic but there are way better mexican food options in Calgary. A bit expensive for what it is in my opinion.

My friend and I stopped by for lunch on Friday. Our waitress was very helpful. She suggested trying Michelada and Carnitas tacos, and it was worth trying, we would definitely come back. Great
