I regularly go to or order from this restaurant. I took 4 friends visiting from Australia and the US last night. The food was excellent and the owners treated us like we were eating at their home. We ordered the tandoori combo, chicken pakora, beef and chicken kulcha, bhartha, daal tarka, garlic naan and rice. The food was as good as any indian restaurant that I've eaten at around the world! I would highly recommend dining at/ordering from the Taj Mahal Restaurant.

My friends and I were visiting Canada recently and wanted to go out for Indian food. We landed on Taj Mahal after I came across several positive comments online. At 5pm on a Tuesday we had the place to ourselves, and experienced one of the best meals any of us had ever had. Everything we tried was so delicious, the service was spectacular, and the vibe of the restaurant was exactly what we were looking for. Would not hesitate to recommend Taj Mahal to anyone who's in Calgary....

If you overlook the fact that you are eating in a basement, the food and service were phenomenal. From the cocktails to the samosas, butter chicken, aloo golbi and more it was all fantastic. They should be noted for their extensive gluten free and vegan menus, great job! I will definitely go back and try the buffet next time.
