Who ever was the guy serving. He didn’t even bother to explain to us how things work at the restaurant. It was as though he didn’t care. The food was not tasty. I would not go back.

If you want to wait over an hour and a half for the most average tacos of your life, this is the place to be. Wasn’t even busy at about 3pm on a Monday, and stood at the front of the ordering line for about 10 minutes before we were even acknowledged. Sat for over an hour waiting for 4 tacos. During which the guy taking orders came over to say he undercharged us by $2 and demanded payment, then later came to say they were out of the chorizo tacos 🤣It was honestly a laughably horrible dining experience sitting in an un-air conditioned restaurant for that long for 4 tacos, which by the way were incredibly bland and dry which resembled overpriced wet dog food.

Juan is super friendly and has a hidden gem with his authentic Mexican cuisine. Two of us had the pozole, barbacoa and fish tacos. Amazing!

I had a craving for some authentic Mexican tacos so I tried Taqueria El Charrito. I would say if you are looking for something quick and reasonably priced this place will serve you right. Not the best tacos but not the worst either. I think the chorizo was my favourite.

I think the tacos are very mediocre all around. The biggest problem was the tortillas were super starchy and poor mouth feel. Was hoping for better flavour. The hot sauce wasn't spicy. Unfortunate.

10/10 this restaurant has been a neighbourhood classic and a go-to for Mexican cuisine. We can always count on coming here for great food and a warm smile from the owner, lately even spoiled when bringing our son to try all the yummy menu items. Thank you for the many years of fully bellies, Taqueria El Charrito!
