We tried El Chefe for the first time today after hearing so many good reviews about the food. The food was amazing! Best tacos I’ve tried in Calgary!
Everything we tried we so flavourful and delicious. We had the barria tacos and carne asada which were both amazing. The barria was my favourite. Forgot to get a photo before I devoured it lol. We also had the elote that was covered in flaming hot cheetos and it was sooo yummy!
The family the owns it is so sweet and were so friendly. We will definitely be back!! Thank you!!

It was so worth it! We drove all the way from Cochrane to come in, and it was so worth it! Not a lot of space for sitting but we sat in store and it had a great cozy atmosphere! Super quick service and so so delicious! Highly highly recommend stopping by if you’re looking for some of the best tacos in Calgary!

This is hands down the best place to get barria tacos in the entire city. I've tried so many places around Calgary, and nothing compares. I hope they open more locations in the future! <3 Absolute must try place; you will not be disappointed. <3

Extremely unique offering of Mexican food here. At a heftier price, you are not going to be let down by the quality and quantity of food. Tasty meats and gravy for the quesadilla. Limited seating and perhaps the largest group is for 6 people (2-4 ideal) but once again, very limited seating. Great passionate staff here who love what they do.
I got the chicken and beef tacos and it may have been the best food I've ever had. It was so fresh and delicious. The staff were also friendly.

Food is good, absolutely not worth the price. Everything costs 5 bucks more than it should. They charge 20 bucks for 3 tiny tacos, and 5 bucks for Mexican drinks you can find at superstore for 2. Service wasn’t good or bad, just normal (go in, order, get your food served, and then leave when you’re done 🤷♂️) go to Tacos Drive Memorial instead.
