Got the non-veg Himalayan platter, chicken biryani, lamb biryani and the mango lassi. All dishes were amazing and flavourful, exactly what we expected. The mango lassi was wonderful and tasted incredible. The gentleman at the front was very welcoming and respectful and knows how to treat people. Was not as busy but hopefully that changes as this place deserves business! Thank you for having us!

Momo was uncooked and was in palatable, The manchurian was basically corn starch and execively salty, the chowmin was undercooked and lacked in any taste. Basically it was the worst food ever eaten in a restaurant. The place smelled of dampness and the person who was attending was engrossed in vedio games.

It is our first time to visit this restaurant and we loved the experience. Every food was incredibly flavorful with very generous serving. The garlic naan was freshly baked, momo was juicy and savory, the biryani was amazing. The place was clean and well-kept, and the staff were friendly and welcoming even if we came at late lunch time. They close at 2pm and re-opens at 4pm (noticed that staff eat their lunch all together at this time). It was totally worth the penny. Definitely coming back.

I love this restaurant more than I can possibly say in this short review. We’ve been here twice and there is still so much more to discover on the menu. We have ordered at least 8 different items by now and every last one was honestly incredible. I recommend the momo dumplings, chicken tikka masala, lamb sekuwa, and my absolute favourite is the eggplant bhartha.

The atmosphere is so warm and relaxed with pleasant music and the service is outstanding. It’s a family run restaurant where it feels like they really appreciate your business.

Taste of Himalayas is an S-tier restaurant. With every bite you’ll be spirited away to the magical slopes of Nepal. Try this place today and be amazed.

Food is delicious and very filling portions. Best biryani I’ve ever had and the vegetarian momos were juicy and well spiced. Will definitely return regularly!

I give credit where credit is due. While the ambience was nice, the buffet was ridiculous. A complete rip-off. Food was minimal with only a very few dishes. There was the staple butter chicken, a beef preparation that was never refilled and hardly any real choices for veggies apart from a cauliflower preparation. Their fish pakora requires a forensic examination to discover any protien in the generous fried flour and the same goes for the other likely, onion pakora.
I am not sure why anyone would dine here. Perhaps they are unaware of Indian food or as a novelty to try something Indian. The place and food do not deserve a single star but is required to complete this review.
Save your money and go eslewhere. Not recommemded and never returning.

Taste of Himalayas is an absolute gem! The moment you walk in, you’re greeted with warm hospitality and the inviting aroma of freshly prepared spices. Every dish we tried was bursting with authentic flavors perfectly balanced and cooked to perfection. The portions were generous, the presentation was beautiful, and you could truly taste the freshness of the ingredients. The service was friendly and attentive without being intrusive, making the whole experience even better. If you’re looking for genuine Himalayan and Nepalese cuisine in a cozy, welcoming setting, this is the place to be!

This place was a huge hit with us. We already went there twice within 4 days. This is a restaurant that also knows the difference between mild and spicy. I had gone with a few friends that can't handle spice. I requested mild and it was really mild. The food never lacked flavor. Mango chicken, all paneer dishes and coconut nann. Was a huge hit! The prices were very reasonable. List of dishes is in the photos. For sure.we will go again and again.

This Indian Nepalese restaurant is, hands down, my favorite restaurant in Calgary! I have lived downtown and in the burbs and always had a great variety of restaurants to eat at over the years. I believe is the best and most flavorful Indian and Nepalese food I have ever had. It is well worth the drive if it is not in your quadrant of the city. The food is always incredible, the service is fast and friendly, and everything on the menu is amazing. Bring your friends and family and enjoy this wonderful venue for, seriously, the best food in Calgary! Definitely order the momos, which are undeniably, the best ones in Calgary!
