Comfortable ambiance! Meatball appetizer was very tasty! Tavernetta styled Caesar salad was crisp and flavourful! Pasta dishes were exceptional----very fresh! House made desserts were phenomenal. Chris chose the wine pairings, cocktails were generous. Overall-----Highly recommended!!

The food, in particular the pasta dishes are phenomenal and you cannot beat their outdoor space, complete with bocce ball court, during the summer months. An absolute must visit for Italian food loving Calgarians and visitors.

This place is SOOOOO good! I have been a few times and tried different items each time (as well as sampled a decent portion of the wine list now too...) Love the atmosphere, especially nice if you go during the warmer months and get to sit outside on the deck. I have told multiple people that it is one of my favorite restaurants in Calgary.

Food was delicious and the service was great. The calamari, casoncelli, gamberi and beef rib were amongst the biggest hits for our group. The restaurant itself is adorable and though the music was not fitting to the restaurant it was great!!

Came here last week and had an overall pleasant experience. The Tavernetta meatballs were amazing, I wish I just ordered three of those and called it a night. The wife and I also tried the cauliflower cacio e pepe, which was a little underwhelming, and unfortunately I have to say the same for the brown butter sage pillows of pork. The dish was a bit bland for a main, I really didn't taste any of that brown butter or sage, it just came across as a bit greasy. But the wife's fettuccine bolognese was great, as were the olives. I would come back here but just try different dishes!

Cozy little place. Very friendly staff. All the items we ordered for the table were great, lots of flavour and portuon sizes were appropriate. The food and service were definately worth well and above what we paid!

Was looking forward to celebrating my wife’s birthday but our visit was far from pleasant. We started off the night having the server spilling some drinks as she was setting them down - one on the table and the other one on a guest’s lap. Accidents do happen so we didn’t think too much about it. The food was not bad, however, our server continued some questionable actions such as bringing drinks to the wrong person and that she dropped a stack of plates/cutlery on the ground as she was clearing the table. What finished the night on a final sour note was that after we paid, she came back to question us about our payment since we “just covered the bill”. What she was looking for was additional money for tip, which she did not notice was already automatically added to the bill. This was our first time here and unfortunately our last.

Fantastic! We were very impressed with the food and service. Great Italian food. Nice and cozy little place. Outstanding staff. Will go back for sure. My only suggestion would be to have Italian music playing in the background. Best Calamari ever!

Wish I could give this place 10 stars. Unexpectedly came here with a friend and was worried I was underdressed but instantly felt like just another friend or family member invited for dinner. Our server was extremely helpful with suggestions and the chefs delivered AMAZING food. The ?owner/manager Chris made sure we were happy and comfortable and I would recommend Tavernetta for any occasion...dinner with a friend, dinner with many friends, romantic dinner, break up dinner...

Very cozy place, lovely to visit in the winter. Feels like you’re at families house during Christmas time. Our appetizers, main meals and dessert were all delicious. The service was really lovely, the server found a way to combine the two things that I couldn’t decide between. Definitely will return
