Favorite sushi place in Calgary. Food is great, very traditional. Décor and atmosphere is very cute and authentic. 11/10. Lived downtown and have been here at least 20 times over 5 years. Never had a bad experience other then slow service when it was busy.

Went here with two of my friends and had a great time. Had the deluxe combo for 2 people (#55 I think) - the rice was warm and fresh, the sashimi portions were generous, and the green roasted rice tea was very tasty as well. Even the seaweed salad and the dumplings were amazing. While the staff were very knowledgeable, they weren't friendly and I didn't feel particularly welcome. But the food was worth coming here for. ?

OK sushi. They missed an item on my pickup. They did offer to provide this free of charge along with a complementary roll next time, which was appreciated. Unfortunately the food wasn't as good as other places, so likely won't be a regular here.

I wish I could give 0 stars! I was at this place yesterday with a friend for a quick bite, and we ordered Chef's Happy combo . I asked the waitress how many pieces are in that combo and if it's okay for 2 people, she didn't know the answer and just said it is a special combo. In the description it said sushi, sashimi and maki roll. It took them 45 min to 1 hour to get our food ready (meanwhile she gave us a the salad with no settings), and then we found out that the special combo is only dynamite roll and 3 pieces of shashimi. Why did it take them 1 hour to make that, and the restaurant was empty, extremely bad service!
Been here twice now. Spent nearly 130 dollars in total on mostly maki (roll) dishes. I have only had amazing bites. Everything here is made as fresh as possible and is well crafted. I never expect to give a perfect review but this is a rare exception. Amazing.Tasty. Fresh.

Great sushi! Last two pickup orders off SkipTheDishes, Tenshi has messed up orders. Missed items and told us last minute they don’t have the item. This latest order we have waited two hours for sushi. Advice to owners. Fix your ordering and preparation. Fantastic food. But people will stop coming if you cannot fix these issues.

Service was unfriendly and inattentive even though the restaurant was mostly empty. Waitress spent the majority of the time in the back instead of serving customers. Had to call out into the kitchen each time we needed something such as water refills or placing our order.
