Good place to try Asian Food
So far is a best Restaurants in NE Calgary. Try it out
It hurts to give 1 star as this is our go to Vietnamese restaurant for years. However, I did not appreciate how the guy handled my issue tonight. I found a bug on my dish. I called him and asked if that was a bug, he immediately took my plate without apologizing nor an offer to remake my dish. Upon paying, he only took off the tax, I still paid $18.50. It was really disappointing and disgusting. Food safety should always be their top priority.
Probably the biggest and crispiest banh xeo I've ever had in my life! It was really good however I found that it had way too many bean sprouts. I ended up taking out about half of the amount that they put in there. Regardless of that, this is still a dish that I would happily order again!
Best I've had so far .
Seafood rice noodle soup : seafood is not many
4 prawns, crab is carb willow, 2 pcs of squid.
Not up to my expectation
Went once and it was the best Vietnamese food I've had in a long time. Will definitely be back
I had the great pleasure of being invited by a longtime Vietnamese Friend. I have been to many Vietnamese restaurants and they serve mostly the same food at similar prices, but this restaurant had some exceptional food!
To start, the Shrimp Salad rolls here have AMPLE, FRESH BASIL in them that you can't help but notice!
I appreciate that they automatically bring a pot of hot tea 🍵 to the table instead of the regular water.
Then we had something I had never previously tried. I don't recall the real name but it is a type of lettuce wraps that you wrap in transparent rice paper, almost like tacos or Korean lettuce wraps. In these, you do put lettuce, basil, fish or other meat with noodles and then wrap them in the rice paper. It is a fun communal dish for the table. You even dip the rice paper into warm water to soften it. What a cool dish!
Then the Wonton Soup 🍲 was excellent! They had plenty of wontons in the soup!
The servers were very attentive and spoke good English.
Service attitude, spilled a bowl of water on a customer but did not apologize. Rude attitude. Never come back.
Great tasting food. Service is great.
The front said nothing when paying bill. Even when I thanked her at the end, she didn't respond.

Best Bun Bo Hue in town with pickle japaleno. As a Vietnamese, I'm very picky with Vietnamese food. Anytime I'd like to have Bun bo for my dinner, Thanh Hung is always in my top of mind.
